Showcasing a diverse cast of playable characters, Star Ocean The Divine Force will tell a gripping story that seamlessly melds science fiction and fantasy elements and can be enjoyed by newcomers to the series and veterans alike. The game features dual protagonists, which offer different story perspectives and gameplay experiences: Raymond, the captain of the space trading ship, Ydas, and Laeticia, the princess-knight of a kingdom on an underdeveloped planet. Fate will bring Raymond, Laeticia, and several other ally characters together, all designed by renowned artist Akiman (Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, Street Fighter series).

Although it’s the sixth mainline entry in the Star Ocean series, The Divine Force will be an excellent starting point for newcomers as it tells a completely original story with brand-new characters.

New Characters

Marielle L. Kenny
(CV: Fairouz Ai / Erica Mendez - Weapon: Guns)

A lieutenant aboard the Pangalactic Federation's latest battleship, the Astoria. She was on the bridge with the captain when they shot the Ydas down. A member of the acclaimed Kenny family and a wunderkind in her own right, Marielle graduated from the military academy at the top of her class. However, she still puts an inordinate amount of pressure on herself to meet others' expectations and uphold the pedigree of her family name.

As an elite federation soldier, Marielle excels in hand to hand combat and firearms. When she performs her special Vatting ability, D.U.M.A. locks onto her weapon, and they fire a beam more powerful than any cannon known to man.

Chloe Kanaris
(CV: Yuka Otsubo / Cristina Vee)

A young empath from the planet of Verguld and a close friend to Raymond. In addition to being the pilot of the merchant vessel Ydas , she is also a gifted linguist. Her sharp intuition borders on clairvoyance, allowing her to predict outcomes at a speed that rivals artificial intelligence. This extra sensory empathy has saved Raymond and the Ydas from countless dangerous situations. After the attack on the Ydas , Chloe abandoned the ship via an escape pod but was shot down over Aster IV. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.

Antonio Lawrence
(CV Ryota Takeuchi / Jay Preston)

Raymond's older brother, and captain of the merchant vessel Aldous. Like Raymond, he is employed by Lawrence Logistics their family owned business. He is a renowned gentleman of dignity. However, when crisis threatens his family (especially his danger prone brother Raymond), he has been known to snap and fly off the handle. Antonio is a paragon of loyalty, and always repays kindness show to him and his family. The crew of the Aldous and other employees of the company respect him for his personality and strong leadership. Some even have feelings for him.

Welch Vineyard
(CV Tomoe Hanba / Melissa Fahn)

A self proclaimed genius who calls herself the "beautiful merchant magnate," Welch is the current head of the Vineyard family. This long line of merchants have fallen on hard times of late, and she currently finds herself living in Delryk . She lives by the three B's of brains, beauty, and benevolence, but spends money like nobody's business. Welch takes on tasks to help the party in order to restore her family's legacy.

Item Creation

Item Creation allows you to craft powerful items from the things you collect on your travels. Use each character's respective talents, such as Laeticia's skill in compounding or Raymond's aptitude for smithwork , to produce new and exciting items that will assist you on your If you nurture these talents, you will create even more amazing items.

Private Actions

When entering a town, conversational events known as Private Actions may occur. Separate from the main storyline, these are one of a kind, personal interactions between you and your team. How you respond will affect your relationships.

Es'owa has taken the universe by storm! The goal is to place your game pieces known as pawns on the board and attack to reduce your opponent's health to zero. You can challenge Es'owa enthusiasts whom you encounter throughout your adventures. Compete often to increase your rank.
