Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where steampunk- inspired technology and otherworldly forces coexist in the shadows. You are Corvo, the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress who has been murdered. Framed for the crime, you become an infamous assassin, known by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is besieged by plague and ruled by a corrupt government armed with frightening technologies, dark forces bestow supernatural abilities upon you – but at what cost? The truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city, and the life you once had is gone forever.
Once Dishonored and Eximius: Seize the Frontline, the current free games on the Epic Games Store, have run their course, it will be up to Kerbal Space Program and Shadow Tactics - Aiko's Choice, which will be gratis starting January 5 until January 12, 2023.
Eximius: Seize the Frontline
Eximius is a FPS/RTS hybrid that focuses on squad-based combat, featuring an intense 5v5 multiplayer experience with each team comprising of 4 Officers and one Commander.
Take up arms in a global conflict between rival security contractors competing to reestablish nations in a post-apocalyptic world. Coordinate with teammates in five-player squads to outmaneuver enemy combatants, seize precious resources, and secure victory.
Take point as an infantry Officer performing critical missions on the ground, such as securing strategic locations and capturing vital supplies for the war effort. Wield conventional arms or suit up in 10 distinct mechanized Vanguard battlesuits, each equipped with its own arsenal of skills and customizable loadouts. Strap into an Assault model and launch a torrent of homing micro-missiles, pilot the stealthy Orion class to infiltrate and perform a strategic strike, or watch over allies as a guardian angel with the Aegis’ shield and healing abilities.
Meanwhile, Commanders take control, orchestrating the fight with a bird’s eye view of the battle. These leaders utilize classic real-time strategy mechanics to direct units, manage resources, build bases, research technology, and more. Commanders also watch over their teammates, relaying what’s going on while providing crucial support like well-timed artillery strikes.
Eximius: Seize the Frontline marries the instinctual thrill of first-person shooters with a true RTS experience to deliver an engaging, ever-changing multiplayer game like no other. Each side of the coin informs and enriches the other, as tactics and action intermingle and play off one another to create a dynamic fusion marked by one memorable moment after the next.
