In Core Keeper, a mining sandbox adventure, players are drawn toward a mysterious relic.
You are an explorer who awakens in an ancient cavern of creatures, resources and trinkets. Mine relics and resources to build your base, craft new equipment, survive, and power up the Core.
Defeat giant monsters, discover hidden secrets, farm crops, cook new recipes and explore a procedurally generated underground world in a mining sandbox adventure for 1-8 players.
Developer Pugstorm and publisher Sold Out are bringing mining sandbox adventure Core Keeper to Steam Early Access on March 8, 2022.
From today, players can experience the world of Core Keeper and start their adventure for free in a playable demo on Steam.
Included as part of Steam Next Fest later this month, the demo offers an introduction to the world and mechanics of Core Keeper, including base building, crafting, farming, monster slaying and more, and can be played alone or cooperatively in a group of up to eight players.
Any progress made within the demo (ends on Monday, Feb. 28.) will be carried over to the Early Access release on Tuesday, March 8, allowing players who purchase the game to continue their adventure directly from where they left off.
Additional updates introducing major new features, content and quality of life improvements will be added throughout the Early Access period.
“We’re so excited for players to jump into the Core Keeper demo today and join us for our next major step with the Steam Early Access launch next month,” said Sven Thole, CEO & Animator at Pugstorm.
“This is just the start of Core Keeper’s journey, and the community’s excitement for the game and their feedback so far has already given us plenty of ideas for how we would like to expand the game throughout the Early Access period.”
“Core Keeper is a joy to play and we’re incredibly proud of the game Pugstorm is creating with the Early Access release,” added Vincent Coates, Product Manager at Sold Out. “Player feedback to the game’s open alpha test was incredible, and we’re thrilled to launch today’s demo so that even more players can discover the world of Core Keeper and get started on their adventure ahead of the Early Access launch next month.”
