'Starfield' Signed Art Giveaway Contest - Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 17, 2022 @ 6:07 p.m. PST

Starfield is a next-generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, where you create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom.

Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.

In this next generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom.

Harnessing the power of next-gen technology and built on the all-new Creation Engine 2, Starfield takes you on a journey through space as you strive to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.

You’re part of Constellation now. Part of our family.

Explore the artistic process in the latest Starfield video, featuring artist Mike Butkus hard at work on Starfield’s “Journey Through Space” art.

Do you want to win your very own high-quality print of the art seen in the video? All you have to do is become a member of the Constellation group by March 31, 2022, and you’ll be automatically entered to win.

If you’re already a Constellation member, you’re all set!

Once the deadline has passed, two members will be selected at random, and winners will receive an exclusive high-quality print signed by Mike Butkus and Game Director Todd Howard.

From this “Journey Through Space” art and other pieces of early concept art, to the world you’ll see in the game, the team at Bethesda Game Studios had a specific vision in mind. A vision of a future that’s grounded in reality. A future that’s believable and, while maybe not always the most welcoming, at least familiar.

“Early on in this project when we were trying to establish the overall aesthetic of this game, we sort of coined the term ‘NASA-Punk’ to describe a sci-fi universe that’s a little more grounded and relatable,” says Starfield’s Lead Artist Istvan Pely. “We wanted a very realistic take,” he adds, “You can draw a line from current-day space technology and extrapolate from there into the future so it’s believable and relatable.”

“What’s really interesting is how much we all latched onto that concept,” added Lead Animator Rick Vicens. “When you said NASA-Punk, the Art team could instantly take those two words and make them work. It was just the perfect term for our art direction and keeping everyone in same flow and working with a consistent style. For me, it just clicked. At the start of the project, I think that term was critical for us.”

See the official rules here for complete details on the giveaway.

Starfield arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 11, 2022. Play it day one with Xbox Game Pass.
