Featuring fluid co-op-combat, powerful weapons and a striking art style, Babylon's Fall can be played in parties up to four. A range of post-launch game modes will be available at no additional cost.

In Babylon's Fall, players become a group of warriors known as the sentinels, bonded with special equipment called Gideon Coffins, and throw themselves into an odyssey to overcome the titanic Tower of Babylon, within which sleeps a great legacy. In addition to weapons wielded in both hands, characters can use the power of their Gideon Coffin to equip two more, allowing for combinations of up to four weapons at once. The capabilities of different equipment also brings endless variation to the strategy that can be employed.

Since Babylon's Fall is a co-op game with a party of up to four players, playing with a team gives you all kinds of options in combat, letting you combine your different weapons and abilities to conquer the many challenges of the tower.

Square Enix released a new Babylon's Fall Combat 101 trailer. The trailer highlights the game’s unique gameplay mechanics, which allows players to wield weapons in both hands while utilizing the power of their Gideon Coffin to equip two additional spectral weapons. This four-weapon combat system provides countless ways to customize the combat experience and unleash devastating combinations against the enemies of the Ziggurat.

Also revealed was the Season 1 roadmap and trailer which shows a glimpse of all the action coming to Babylon's Fall from February 25 through May 31, including new game modes, a new faction, new weapon type, new story content, new bosses, armor, quests and more. The Premium Battle Pass will be free for all players during Season 1.

Square Enix also announced the NieR:Automata collaboration taking place in Babylon's Fall during Season 1. Featuring costumes, enemies, and a dungeon inspired by NieR:Automata, NieR fans won’t want to miss out on this limited time event.

The Season 1 content will include:

  • Skirmish: Side quests where you will encounter mighty "Infamous enemies".
  • Siege: Quests that change weekly and offer special rewards.
  • Duel: Quests focused on battles against powerful bosses.
  • Gauntlet: Quests where players compete to achieve the highest score on special stages.

• Additional weapon type: Labrys
• New story content, new bosses, armor, quests and more!

Further, the Babylon's Fall free downloadable demo launches tomorrow, February 25, on PS5 and PS4.

The demo gives players access to the opening section of the game where both single player and four player cross-play co-op can be experienced for free. All progress and achievements will be carried over to the full version of the game on PlayStation platforms following the official launch.

Babylon's Fall will also offer early access for pre-orders on the digital deluxe version beginning on February 28.

Babylon's Fall is coming to PS4, PS5 and PC (Steam) on March 3, 2022.
