Toy Blast and Toon Blast combined to make ~$3.0B in cumulative gross revenues to date and have been consistently featured in the Top-10 grossing charts since launch. Playabit will be located in the United States, Turkey and the UK, marking the entry of Wildlife Studios in both Asia and Europe.
Playabit’s launch comes on the heels of Wildlife’s recent announcement of its latest affiliated studio in Sweden (whose creative leader hasn't yet been disclosed) joining Wildlife’s roster of recent studio launches led by game industry veterans such as Ray Mazza and Michael Duke from Never Forget Games, Jonathan Durr from Foxbear Games, and Lu Gigliotti from SuperWOW! Games. The new studios are progressing well with Never Forget Games working towards their first global launch in 2022, while SuperWOW! Games and Foxbear Games are planning soft launching their first titles.
“At Playabit, we will be laser focused on creating fun and engaging casual games, building upon our experiences from past successes. We want to create games that will be played by people all around the world on a daily basis with the best user experience", said co-founder Tugrul Atak. “Also, by being in Turkey, we can tap into the very talented game development community around the Anatolia region. Currently, we are looking for Senior Engineers, Senior Artists and Product Managers in the region, and we are excited to grow our team there. Partnering with Wildlife removes the burden of running our own company while allowing us to maintain full creative control to focus on developing the best games possible.”
This addition of Playabit continues to solidify Wildlife Studios as the go-to partner for top creatives and developers in the gaming industry. Studio leaders have full creative freedom while Wildlife provides access to its publishing platform, modules, dedicated staff and administrative support in order to allow creators to focus on what matters most: making great games. Partnering with Wildlife will help us focus on developing the best games possible without any distraction", added co-founder Ayhan Sahin.
“We’re excited to welcome Tugrul, Ayhan and Ant into the Wildlife family,” said Victor Lazarte, CEO of Wildlife Studios. “We’re proud to bring together some of the greatest minds in the industry to allow them to realize their creative full potential. Wildlife is committed to providing such leaders with all the resources necessary so they are able to focus on creating awesome games.”
