'LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga' Shows Off How The Developers Are Building the Galaxy - Screens & Trailer

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the biggest LEGO Star Wars game, featuring all nine Skywalker saga films, including the conclusion to the series, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will immerse players into the expansive saga with the freedom to control hundreds of characters and vehicles to create their own unique journey through the galaxy.

Friends and family can dive right into their favorite saga film and play through memorable Star Wars moments, reimagined with LEGO fun and humor. Players can start at the beginning with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, begin the original trilogy with Star Wars: A New Hope, or launch right into Star Wars: The Last Jedi or Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, both of which are making their LEGO Star Wars game debut. From the idyllic grassy hills of Naboo to the desert dunes of Jakku, the desert of Geonosis to the swamps of Dagobah, to the snowfields of Starkiller Base – players will have the power to revisit any planet, at any time, in any order they wish. The entire galaxy is available to discover and play in.

Players can traverse space using the galaxy map on their holoprojector to chart their course through the saga, progressively unlocking planets to explore along the way. During space travel, players may engage in heroic dog fights against enemy ships, piloting legendary vehicles like the Millennium Falcon, Imperial TIE fighters, Rebel X-wings, and many more. Once reaching their destination, players can choose to either continue onwards through the main story or explore and discover exciting quests and puzzles within the galaxy.

Exploration rewards players as they uncover Kyber Bricks which unlock new features and upgraded abilities across a range of character classes, including Jedi, Hero, Dark Side, Villain, Scavenger, Scoundrel, Bounty Hunter, Astromech Droid, and Protocol Droid. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga features the biggest roster of playable characters in the LEGO Star Wars series including the greatest legends from every era of the Skywalker saga sauch as Leia, Yoda, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, Poe and over three hundred more unlockable characters from across all nine films in free play mode to create fun, new adventures.


This new behind-the-scenes video (Building the Galaxy) highlighting the extensive breadth of content and sense of freedom players can expect in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

The development team share their process in bringing the entire Star Wars galaxy to life with living and breathing versions of iconic locations found throughout the nine Skywalker Saga films, and it’s all complemented by classic LEGO humor at every turn. The video also showcases the work that went into implementing weathering effects, differentiating sky colors, and bringing attention to every little detail unseen in previous LEGO video games. 

Players will have the freedom to explore hub worlds from familiar locations such as Naboo, Endor, Tatooine, and the Cloud City of Bespin, to unlock new vehicles and playable characters, including Mama the Hutt, Yaddle and Babu Frik. Players may also find collecting Kyber Bricks on the varied planets as a main motivator for deviating from the game’s main path, which are used as currency to enhance characters ranging from upgrading Force abilities to increasing blaster fire power.

The physical version of the Deluxe Edition will include a collectible LEGO Star Wars minifigure, Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC on April 5, 2022.
