Bloodhound tells the story of a member of the Order of Keepers of the Gates, tasked with guarding the gates of Hell. Unfortunately, the Cult of Astaroth stands in their way. The Cult wants to open the gates and let the spawn of evil through them. All of this is in the name of Astaroth, the lord of the Abyss, so she can walk the earth and wreak havoc once more. You must stop the Satanists and get rid of any creatures they summon, Destroy the Cult before they can bring back their Lord.
Bloodhound offers a campaign made of 4 acts; diverse and terrifying locations, as well as 15 types of enemies and 4 bosses. The player will be aided by 10 types of weapons (including a machete, flamethrower attached chainsaw, shotgun, railgun, crossbow and missile launcher). The creators are in the middle of creating additional game modes (arena and multiplayer).
Bloodhound is a debut project created by indie studio Kruger & Flint Productions, a new team made of experienced creators who previously worked on games over at Techland (Dying Light 2), The Astronauts (Witchfire) and CI Games (Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3).
“It is a game created out of passion – the kind we would like to play. It’s brutal, it’s intense and there’s blood. It’s all served in a heavy, horror reminiscent atmosphere. Our main inspirations were Doom, Quake and Painkiller, but we also reached the work of Zdzisław Beksiński, rich in decay centric pieces and apocalyptic motives,” said Rafał “Flint” Krzemiński, CEO, Kruger & Flint Productions.
“A free demo has been made available on Steam. It includes one training area and it’s the first taste of what’s yet to come from Bloodhound,” said Jakub “Kruger” Kubiak, producer, Kruger & Flint Productions.
Kruger & Flint Productions has launched a kickstarter campaign, looking to raise $8,079 meant to support the game’s further development
Bloodhound is coming to PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles in 2022, followed by PS4 and PS5 in 2023.
