Far in the future, the resources of Earth have become insufficient, its ecosystem long ago changed irrevocably by a passing meteor. Humankind has divided into two: the people who have escaped Earth and relocated to the space colony, 'Orbital Arc,' and the others who have remained on Earth in a facility called ‘The Shelter.’

When the people of The Shelter cut all supplies to Orbital Arc, humankind commences a bold experiment to grant one last hope for humanity. A young sword-wielding warrior named Age falls down from orbit to Earth. Accompanied by his floating android, Helvis, he must find the indispensable key to the survival of humankind...

Ultra Age follows the story of a young warrior named Age, who embarks on a mission to save humankind from extinction. He must use his blades to cut through robotic and mutant foes, explore futuristic locales, and unravel a vast conspiracy concerning the fate of the planet.

Ultra Age features pulse-pounding combos with multiple blades, wire pull action, and a slew of upgrades for the main character and his droid, set in a futuristic, sci-fi world brought to the brink of ruin. The story follows Age, the sword-wielding hero, fighting to prevent the extinction of humankind. Developed in Unreal Engine and featuring art by co-creator Visual Dart (Uncharted 4, Overwatch, and Starcraft Remastered), Ultra Age features outstanding graphic and combat quality among indie titles.

DANGEN Entertainment announced that the PC version of Ultra Age will be released on Steam on April 28th. The Steam version of Ultra Age will incorporate a number of improvements over its previous release on consoles.

Graphically, the overall quality of backgrounds in all chapters of the game have been improved, including a rehaul of the appearance of the main character, Age. Developer Next Stage / Visual Dart have also improved the framerate, added graphics options, adjusted the level design and difficulty, and fixed some aspects of gameplay for a more comfortable experience.

The English and Japanese voiceovers have been completely re-recorded to increase the immersive feeling of the game. Bug fixes and various in-game options for PC users have also been added.

Developer Next Stage / Visual Dart have also announced that in addition to general improvements, they are preparing a free DLC to enrich the way the game is played. The DLC will provide content for players who have cleared the story mode of the game, such as logged game play, new character growth methods with various choices, the addition of collector elements, and more. The DLC will be released for free this summer.

Along with the announcement of the release date, DANGEN Entertainment has also announced that the improvements and additions of Ultra Age will be applied not only to the PC version, but also to the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions. Updates for the console versions will be applied soon.

Currently available for Nintendo Switch and PS4, Ultra Age is coming to PC (Steam) on April 28, 2022.
