Valheim is an open-world exploration survival game set in a vast procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by norse mythology and viking culture. Players are tasked with taking back the realm from the ancient enemies of Odin, building mead halls and castles, crafting weapons and armour, and sailing the seas in search of new horizons and win the favor of the gods.

Valheim is a game about exploring a huge fantasy world inspired by norse mythology and viking culture. You start your adventure at the relatively peaceful center of Valheim. The further from the center you travel, the more challenging the world becomes. But you will also find more valuable materials that you can use to craft deadlier weapons and sturdier armor. You will also build your own viking strongholds and outposts all over the world. Eventually you will build a mighty longship and sail the great oceans in search of exotic lands … but be wary of sailing too far...

Valheim is a huge procedurally-generated world, inviting players to explore lush forests, snow-topped mountain ranges and mystical meadows, all presented in striking Lo-Fi graphics. Valheim offers a dodge & block based combat system with a wide range of weapons for deathless vikings to battle primordial bosses of myth and legend. The viking adventure is playable solo, or with up to nine friends as no one wants to repeatedly face death alone. Between deaths, Valheim offers a flexible house and base building system, intuitive item crafting and ship building, and dedicated servers.

Coffee Stain and Iron Gate Studio revealed that Valheim has surpassed ten million copies sold just over one year since its Steam Early Access release.

Since launch, Valheim’s sense of wonder and exploration has developed a passionate community that rallied around the game, sharing fan art and in-game builds online and celebrating the game’s unique atmosphere and building system.

As the development of the next major content update continues, fans of the survival genre can look forward to more Valheim goodness coming this year, including a brand-new biome to explore, enemies to fight and new weapons to craft. The Iron Gate team has also been updating players via a steady stream of Steam community posts that contain updates on Mistlands’ development, as well as sneak peeks at what the developers are currently working on.
