'Dysterra' Planning Time-Limited Global Beta Test Next Month

by Rainier on April 28, 2022 @ 11:33 a.m. PDT

Dysterra is a multiplayer survival game that embodies deep crafting systems such as construction and production, while offering players exciting conflicts and environmental calamities.

Dysterra is a large-scale online survival game set on an abandoned planet called Dysterra within the visual power of the Unreal Engine 4.

Find a way to survive, mining the most evolved energy mineral Terrasite on the Earth where a big pillar of fire, Terrafire, is destroying everything. Discover raw materials and craft tools for your survival. The Earth’s fate is in your hands.

Gather up useful materials and craft clothes, weapons or food with them for your survival. Earn some fresh meat from animals and cook them on the grill that you can craft with resources. To survive longer, you need to look after your body condition to avoid getting cold, heatstroke, or radiation positioning.

You need your own housing to survive. With 16 different housing parts, you can build up your housing as you want. Construct workbench, storage, grill, and turret for your safety.

Kakao Games and developer Reality MagiQ has announced its upcoming multiplayer sci-fi shooter Dysterra will be open to players for an upcoming global beta test this May.

Running between May 4-17, players will be able to participate in the multiplayer beta via Dysterra's Steam store page — simply by clicking the ‘Request Access’ button.

During the global beta test, they will engage in ferocious battles with a mixture of melee weapons and firearms. While the more taxing crafting requirements (lowering the entry barrier for shelter construction, etc) have been modified to accommodate the game’s beta period, with Kakao Games and developer Reality MagiQ wanting participation to maximize the interaction between players. There will also be more of a focus on acquiring special skills through relentless combat and base occupation.

After feedback from the game’s followers — collated from previous gameplay tests — the expectation is that players will find more hit satisfaction, an upgraded UI, and greater development of motion-capture animations.

You can engage in a battle with a lot of primary weapons as FPS mode. From modern weapons to powerful futuristic ones, you can craft them as you want. It’s totally up to you to survive through random combat with scouts, an assassin who’s aiming you hidden in somewhere or any kind of unexpected location event.

Dysterra is in development for PC (Steam).
