Bail Or Jail is an action party game that features asymmetrical multiplayer fun where four players are split into two teams – humans versus the monster.

Released in 2019 for Nintendo Switch as Obakeidoro!, Bail Or Jail features asymmetrical multiplayer fun where four players are split into two teams – humans versus the monster. Based on the popular children’s game ‘cops and robbers’, the ‘human’ team aims to avoid capture by the monster for three minutes! If all three humans are captured within the time limit, the monster wins.

Bail Or Jail features a variety of spooky maps with interesting hiding spots, cute human characters and comical monsters with different skillsets, keeping the game entertaining match after match. Players are able to build new strategies with each match and enjoy a range of settings to play with. With simple controls and amusing characters, Bail Or Jail is suitable for all ages. Anyone can jump straight into this bizarre world and enjoy what the game has to offer!

Bail Or Jail will offer players five different game modes – three online modes (“Quick Match”, “Friend Match”, “Join Friend”) and two offline modes (“Single Player” and “Local Multiplayer”). Along with its new title, Bail or Jail now supports 1080p screen graphics and frame rates up to 144 FPS, allowing for smoother gameplay. Additionally, players will be able to connect with Discord and directly send invites to their friends through the game. Future updates are already being planned for Bail or Jail including new maps, event modes and characters.

Konami announced that the free demo for Bail or Jail is now available globally on Steam.

The demo features a selection of characters, the Delzo Cemetery map and the ability to jump into matches in the “Quick Match” mode.

The demo introduces players to the eerie “Demon World” where players can familiarize themselves with the game’s “cops and robbers” mechanics to "Bail or Jail” with friends and monsters.

The demo will introduce Alisa and Alex, the sibling duo on the human team, and Patches, a monster who can glide through walls and other obstacles. The human team will have to run, hide, and use their lanterns to stun the monster in order to avoid being captured. The monster will use its unique abilities to ambush and capture the entire human team within three minutes.

Upon full release, Bail or Jail will include nine maps, more characters, and different lantern options, to offer different gameplay experiences in each match. The ability to join Quick Matches with friends through Discord® will also be available.

The game features improved graphics, additional sound effects, and increased realism of character animations and cutscenes in comparison to its Nintendo Switch counterpart.

Bail Or Jail will be available globally and will support 12 languages – Japanese, English, French, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian.

Bail Or Jail is coming to PC (Steam) in 2022.
