Inspired by Japanese games such as No More Heroes, Metal Gear Solid and Godhand, Furi captures the combined moment of fright, passion and adrenaline you feel when in a fight. Each of the opponents have been designed by Afro Samurai creator, Takashi Okazaki. Furi’s award-winning electro / synthwave soundtrack keeps players on their toes with every battle.
Furi is a challenging game comprised entirely of one-on-one fights against deadly adversaries over a mysterious quest for freedom. With its ultra-intense and responsive gameplay, Furi offers players a unique mix of fast-paced sword fighting and frantic dual-stick shooting.
The DLC lets you play as Onnamusha Rider, a powerful fighter that alternates between two stances: fast and agile or slower but lethal until she's able to unleash the devastating power of the Star. The new gameplay mechanics bring new challenges, for a complete rediscovery of the game.
"We read all the messages from Furi players and this one really stuck with us: “I wish I could forget Furi to discover it all over again”. This is how we got the idea of the Onnamusha fighter that brings a completely different playstyle with a layer of tactics " explains Emeric Thoa the game Creative Director.
With Onnamusha Rider, the game can be played again in Story, Speedrun and Practice modes. The studio will also publish a free update to the base game on all platforms, that includes all paid and free content available for Furi: One More Fight DLC and all the improvements made since the release (Invincible Mode, Furier Speedrun, Alternate controls...).
The DLC (6.99$/€) and the free update will be available on May 17th on PC (Steam & GOG), PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
Furi is currently available on Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox One and PC (Steam/GOG).
