'FIFA 23' Signs New Partnerships And In-Game Content To Deliver The Most Authentic And Immersive Football Gaming Experience

by Rainier on Aug. 26, 2022 @ 10:13 a.m. PDT

FIFA 23 offers unrivaled authenticity and immersion, enabling players to take to the pitch with the biggest leagues, clubs and athletes in the world of football.

The advancements to FIFA 23’s HyperMotion2 technology (only available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia) and physics system have unlocked an array of new features making the gameplay experience feel more immersive than ever. Team and player movement across the pitch is more responsive, smart and authentic, whether jockeying against a defender or claiming an aerial ball against an attacker as a keeper. Players can also look forward to a new intelligent dribbling system, a more natural and fluid transition to shooting, all-new acceleration mechanics, enhanced player awareness and much more. With the debut of women’s club teams, all-new animations informed by the movement of real-life female players have been added to FIFA 23.

The most true-to-life experience of The World’s Game, FIFA 23 now features women’s club teams with Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema joining the biggest stars and teams, including 19,000+ players across 700+ teams in over 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues. FIFA 23 is the only place you can play the iconic UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga Santander in the same game.

Electronic Arts announced a series of new multi-year partnerships and in-game integrations, coming in EA Sports FIFA 23 and heading into EA Sports FC, where fans can play with over 19,000 players, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 30 leagues across the global sport. EA Sports has always led with unrivaled authenticity and cements its commitment to fans by delivering the most realistic experience of the World’s Game, with even more of the world’s most distinguished leagues, clubs, athletes, and stadiums.

Recently, EA Sports announced a groundbreaking agreement with LaLiga, which will include title naming rights for all LaLiga competitions, a complete rebrand of LaLiga in partnership with EA Sports and all new in-game integrations, broadcast highlights and joint commitments to support grassroots initiatives. With the additions of Serie BKT and renewals with Major League Soccer, Liga Profesional de Fútbol de Argentina and Saudi Pro League, EA Sports continues to represent fans globally, allowing them to play with the leagues, clubs, and players they are most passionate about.

New club partnerships include Celtic F.C., Rangers F.C., and Mamelodi Sundowns F.C., in addition to an extended partnership with Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and multi-year agreement with storied Italian club Juventus that integrates the club's stadium, along with official club crests, kits and players, whilst also unveiling footballers Claudio Marchisio as a FIFA Ultimate Team Hero and Dušan Vlahović as an ambassador for EA Sports FIFA 23.

Additionally, players will be able to experience all new gameday atmospheres by playing in some of the world’s most iconic stadiums including Boca Juniors’ La Bombonera, SC Freiburg’s Europa-Park Stadion, LA FC’s Banc of California Stadium, Juventus’ Allianz Stadium, CA Osasuna’s El Sadar Stadium, Real Valladolid CF’s Zorilla Stadium, Philips Sport Vereniging Eindhoven’s Philips Stadion, and Manchester City Womens’ Academy Stadium.

EA Sports will also continue to sponsor Match Officials in the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and across the English Football League through its partnership with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), while sponsoring Match Officials in the Barclays Women's Super League, Barclays Women’s Championship, FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup and the Vitality Women’s FA Cup for the very first time.

EA Sports FIFA 23 features a variety of mode advancements and innovations across Career Mode, Pro Clubs, VOLTA Football, FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and more. The new Training Center coaching system will also give new and less experienced players the ability to easily learn the fundamentals of gameplay and hone their skills before jumping into a match.

For the very first time, fans will also have the opportunity to play both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups in the same game, with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 with more details to come at a later date.

PS5, Xbox Series X|S Stadia, and PC versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible. PS4 and Xbox One versions of FIFA 23 will be cross-play compatible with one another.

FIFA 23 will be available worldwide on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
