In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten an overwhelming tide of darkness. Players will not be able to hide behind lethal ranged weapons, they'll need to combine both FPS and melee skills as they get up close and personal in visceral clashes between Imperium and Chaos factions. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide developer Fatshark is postponing the rollout of any further seaosnal content, as well as the planned Xbox SerieS X|S launch to address game issues and criticism.

We take enormous pride in our ability at Fatshark to deliver a game that millions can enjoy. This was what we set out to do with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - to create a highly engaging and stable game with a level of depth that keeps you playing for weeks, not hours.

We fell short of meeting those expectations.

Over the next few months, our sole focus is to address the feedback that many of you have. In particular, we will focus on delivering a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and continue to work on game stability and performance optimizations.

This alos means that we will delay our seasonal content rollout and the Xbox Seires X|S launch. We will also suspend the upcoming releases of premium cosmetics. We just couldn't continue down this path, knowinf that we have not addressed many feedback areas in the game today.

From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.
• Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.
