Forgive Me Father 2 sees players once again journey into a malevolent world inspired by the works of H.P Lovecraft, where madness never sleeps. The action continues the story of the Priest from the first instalment as he descends into his darkest nightmares on a path to righteous salvation.
Players will be driven to the brink of insanity as they take on hordes of deranged cultists and diverse, eldritch enemies using a vast and varied arsenal of deadly weapons - each featuring powerful variations designed to cause absolute mayhem and wreak utter destruction. A freshly re-imagined and expanded madness system ratchets up the action even further, bestowing unimaginable power to those who choose to fully embrace insanity.
Forgive Me Father 2 elevates the unique and distinctive, dark comic-like visuals of the original game with improved sprites and models. The Early Access release of Forgive Me Father 2 includes 10 nightmarish levels, spread across a variety of dread-inducing locales as they continue the story of the Priest from the critically acclaimed first instalment. Prepare to hold up the Dark Tome and a wide arsenal of 10 unique weapons against the terror of the Great Old Ones, as they distort the protagonist’s memories and create an intense fight for survival against the hordes of the undead and other Lovecraftian abominations.
Fulqrum Publishing and Byte Barrel have revealed the initial roadmap ahead for its retro-styled Lovecraftian shooter.
They said: “The first weekend since the insanity of Forgive Me Father 2 hit Early Access and you've had a chance to try the game properly - and we would like to thank everyone who already played the game and gave us their feedback.”
Fulqrum and Byte Barrel stated that the roadmap is a brief outline, and are inviting players to provide feedback. Whilst the timing of each content update is unconfirmed at this stage, they are planning for the first one to come early next year, in February or March 2024.
They also clarified that, whilst the roadmap only lists 3 Content Updates so far, it definitely does NOT mean there will not be any fixes and patches besides that - in fact, the developer is already working on a small bug fix update patch.
