Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, where an unexpected chain of events sets two legendary ex-yakuza, Kasuga Ichiban and Kazuma Kiryu, on a larger-than-life adventure as dual playable protagonists.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth delivers a one-of-a-kind RPG experience with combat boasting greater depth, quality of life refinements, and improved gameplay favoring speed and strategy. The playable party now has full freedom of movement while fighting, allowing you to strategically position yourself and your allies to take down foes more effectively.

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio revealed Dondoko Island, an expansive side mode within Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Dondoko Island is one of a variety of unique experiences that can be enjoyed within the game that delivers an adventure so big it spans the Pacific.

Off the shore of Honolulu City lies Dondoko Island, a deserted island full of illegally dumped trash that has the potential to be so much more. With the help from new friends, his trusty baseball bat and other tools, Ichiban can transform the island by cleaning up garbage and recycling those materials into DIY furniture, buildings and more. You can also flex your managerial muscle and open the island’s gates to patrons. The blue Hawaiian sky’s the limit to creating the resort of your dreams on Dondoko Island! 

Independent from the main story, Dondoko Island will be unlocked through a side-story that will be available at the start of Chapter 6.

There will be a ton of minigames such as an exciting minigame called Crazy Delivery, Sujimon Battle where you collect enemies and battle them and a dating app where you chat to find a match.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the previously announced eighth iteration in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's flagship series.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is coming to the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on January 26, 2024.
