'Hammerwatch II' Comes to Nintendo Switch And PS5 In December, Xbox And PS4 Delayed Until 2024 - Trailer

by Rainier on Nov. 1, 2023 @ 8:44 a.m. PDT

Hammerwatch II is a hack'n slash action/adventure game that offers an improved, richer gameplay experience with all-new immersive environments to explore.

Quest, collect items, fight new enemies and go up against challenging bosses - all in four-player co-op.

Blight the Horrible and his dragon army have succeeded in the sinister plot to overthrow King Roland and bring destruction across the Kingdom of Herian, but hope hides deep within the sewer system, where the King’s resistance movement holds strong. On the King’s order, a select few mighty and skilled heroes have been entrusted with defeating Blight’s dragons and restoring the Kingdom.

Adventure alone or gather a party to aid King Roland’s resistance in online four-player co-op, tackling the diverse and epic quests in Hammerwatch II’s vast, dynamic world. Journey through Hammer Island, the Fallowfields, and the dark mountainous regions of Blackbarrow all created in the signature Hammerwatch pixelated art style. Build a custom Herian Hero and choose between five distinct character classes: Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard and Warlock before customizing a hero’s appearance and leveling up to unlock powerful new abilities and skills.

Fans can look forward to an entirely new map creator, and PC players will be treated to a fully moddable world as modding support will be available at launch. Edit levels, create new stories and be the author of your own adventure.

Modus Games and Crackshell announced that following its launch on PC earlier this year, Hammerwatch II will battle its way onto Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on Dec. 12 for $24.99. Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PS4 versions will arrive next year.

Also launching on Dec. 12 is a remastered version of the original Hammerwatch game, as well as a special digital bundle and physical edition, Hammerwatch II: The Chronicles Edition, that will be available for purchase for $39.99.

The Chronicles Edition includes:
