by Rainier on Dec. 13, 2023 @ 12:00 a.m. PST

Veil is a co-op tactical FPS, you play as a modern-day battlemage and team up with other warlocks in the search for knowledge and demonic artifacts.

In Veil, you play as Warlocks that form Occult Operator Teams to carry out missions for the warring factions in the city of Velumgrad. To even the odds against numerous and powerful enemies you make demonic pacts that grant you supernatural powers.

The demonic influence from The Veil creeps in, and the warring factions of Velumgrad bring their power struggle to the brink of full-on war. Guided by the mysterious Elders, you form loosely connected Occult Operator Teams with other warlocks. To satisfy your occult ambition and slake your thirst for forbidden knowledge, you take on deadly missions and explore Velumgrad and its shadow world, The Veil.

Veil is a mission-based shooter, where you perform work for various power-hungry groups locked in century-long struggle. At its core Veil is a first person tactical shooter, meaning that it emphasizes Teamwork, and a single bullet - or rending claw - can kill you. But you’re not just a grunt with a gun; to even the odds against numerous and powerful enemies, you make demonic pacts that grant you supernatural powers.

The unique mix of tactical realism and demonic powers in Veil offers an intriguing narrative and blends in light RPG elements and extraction features, creating the next step in the evolution of co-op (up to four players) tactical shooters. Veil is an original IP developed internally at Graewolv with the vision to be a trans-media brand, telling stories from its universe across media and platforms, such as games, novels, comic books and linear entertainment.

”We are very happy to announce Veil today. Graewolv is still a small team, and in the earlier stages of development, but entertainment and gaming is all about the audience – the gamers – and we wanted to share this teaser as early as possible.”, says Martin Ekdal, Founder & CEO of Graewolv. “We strongly believe the world of Veil will strike a chord with fans of shooters, dark fantasy and action horror. Veil cuts its own path and we’re very excited to see what players will think.”
