Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is a celebration of ancient China’s landscape, civilization and culture, infused with the mystique of its own legends in stark contrast to anachronistic technological designs. It is a world that is both familiar and mysterious, one of both science and spirituality, one that is waiting to be explored.

Set 2000 years ago in China near the end of Western Han rule, Xuan Yuan Sword 7 places players in the role of noble swordsman Taishi Zhao following the trail of a mysterious bamboo slip from the crypt of Marquis of Liu that promised prosperity, but only brought famine and misery in its wake. To protect his family and seek out the truth of this calamity, Taishi Zhao embarks upon a journey through a mythological realm full of otherworldly beings bent on his destruction.

Take the role of the calm and reliable swordsman Taishi Zhao as he fights to protect his family and uncover the truth of a blight threatens all of China. With a story deeply rooted in ancient Chinese history and mythology, Xuan Yuan Sword 7 reimagines both as one fantastical and chaotic realm under the governance of a new Xin Dynasty.

Eastasiasoft announced that Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is coming soon for Nintendo Switch, with digital and physical release expected in Spring 2024.

This Nintendo Switch version of the game has been made possible by Eastasiasoft Limited in partnership with Softstar Entertainment Inc. and original developer DOMO Studio. Porting has been led by Eastasiasoft Limited in close cooperation with Catness Game Studios, and the game has undergone months of optimization for the best possible experience, making this one of the most visually impressive games to release late in the life of Nintendo Switch. The publisher is proud to bring such a massive action RPG to a new handheld audience, as this project exemplifies Eastasiasoft Limited’s mission to faithfully bring such games to western shores.

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is in its final stages of development for Nintendo Switch. For physical release, Eastasiasoft Limited has committed to having the full experience on the game card, which will require a 16GB card due to the RPG’s immense size, high-end graphics and cinematic presentation. Limited Editions will include the game, manual, soundtrack CD, art book and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. Preorders open with online retail partner Playasia this Friday, December 22nd at 10:00am ET / 7:00am PT / 3:00pm UK. Standard copies will also be available as an open preorder.
