'December 1914' Is A Short Adventure Based On The Christmas Eve Truce of World War I, Coming Late This Week - Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 21, 2023 @ 5:12 p.m. PST

December 1914 is a comic-style, narrative-driven game based on the Christmas Eve Truce of World War I.

In December 1914 the player takes on the role of a soldier who has left his family to fight on the front lines and experience the events of December 1914. The game features four missions, each of which immerses the player in the traumatic experiences faced by soldiers, such as killing enemy soldiers, delivering supplies, defending positions, and executing prisoners of war.

The game has a unique feature called sanity value, which changes based on the player's actions. When the sanity value becomes too low, the player's perception of the world changes - colors fade and things become distorted. However, receiving a few supplies at night and thoughts of loved ones can help restore the player's sanity.

On December 7, 1914, the Pope proposed a ceasefire for Christmas, but the proposal was rejected by the officials of the warring countries. However, on Christmas Eve, a miracle occurred, starting with a few brave soldiers...

Soldiers will have the opportunity to rest briefly at night. This is also when they will receive updates on the war, communicate with friends, enjoy simple military rations, smoke, and look at photos of their loved ones.

Featuring a single ending, December 1914 is approximately 30 minutes long and 80% of the proceeds will be donated to countries affected by war.

December 1914 is coming to PC (Steam) on February 24, 2023, and will be available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Ukrainian, and Russian.
