After the release of the Legacy of the Moonspell DLC in December 2022 and the day after receiving two BAFTA Awards for Game Design and Best Game, the dev team behind the genre-defining smash hit Vampire Survivors can at last reveal their second DLC: high fantasy trope-a-thon Tides of the Foscari

The long-awaited DLC adds 8 characters, 13 weapons, 7 music tracks, 21 achievements, a massive new stage, and… wait for it… character animation! Yes, after countless updates, millions of players and almost 180,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews, TWO(!) of Vampire Survivors heroes can finally do more than strut from side to side. Don’t say we never treat you.

The Tides of the Foscari DLC is set to launch on PC, Xbox and mobile on 13th April for $1.99/€1,99/£1.59.

An early version of Tides of the Foscari is also currently playable at the WASD conference in London (now until 1st April) because someone brought the wrong build to the show, tee hee.

Tides of the Foscari is a fantasy hero folklore trope-palooza packed to the rafters with hulking swordsmen, crafty mages, and quick-shooting rogues. poncle have left no cliche untouched – and possibly invented a few of their own. There’s a whole new stage to get stuck into, plus characters, weapons, music tracks, and some truly terrible beasts waiting to slaughter or be slaughtered. 

Nestled deep within a continent-sized forest is Foscari Academy, a school where the elite of the world train their children for careers as powerful wizards, indefatigable generals, and expert spies. The Academy is divided into three houses, a premise hitherto untouched in all of fantasy fiction - The Azure Tower, The Crimson Anvil and The Amber Sickle. Three students, one from each house, brave the journey into a forest stuffed with mythological creatures, all to have a jolly adventure, with absolutely nothing interrupting the whimsy.

New Content

Eight new characters! Including our central trio:

• Eleanor - Star pupil of The Azure Tower and a skilled magic user, Eleanor is as bright as she is shy.
• Maruto - Undefeated champion of The Crimson Anvil. Stern, brooding, but with a heart of gold beneath his scowl, Maruto is a man of few words and strong arm.
• Keitha - Sly, quick-witted, and fun loving, Keitha will do anything for a bit of adventure and levity. Deliberately stays near the bottom of class rankings in The Amber Sickle to avoid hassle.

A brand new stage!

• Lake Foscari -  An enchanted forest stuffed with fae mysteries, mythological entities, and beasts you’d find in any given RPG bestiary. The perfect place to have an average adventure with zero complications.

13 new weapons, including:

• SpellString - Eleanor’s trusted textbook, sure to provide the answers on any magical topic that might cross her path.
• Eskizzibur - Forged by Maruto’s blacksmith uncle as a jape, but to his surprise his young nephew was capable of lifting it.
• Flash Arrow - Keitha’s home crafted arrows will put a hole through a tree at 100 paces, though her prodigious tendon strength certainly helps.
• Prismatic Missile - A fragment of concentrated elemental power loaned to Luminaire by spirits as thanks for her continued protection of the natural world.
