'Warhammer 40,000: Darktide' Rejects Unite Update Adds Missions, Cosmetics, Enemy, Crossplay - Trailer

by Rainier on May 25, 2023 @ 9:00 a.m. PDT

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a four-player co-op game set in the 41st Millennium, taking you deep into the hive city and facing hordes of enemies you have only seen in your nightmares.

Fight together with your friends against hordes of enemies in this new Warhammer 40,000 experience.

In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten an overwhelming tide of darkness. A heretical cult known as the Admonition seeks to seize control of the planet Atoma Prime and lay waste to its inhabitants. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.

Players will not be able to hide behind lethal ranged weapons, they'll need to combine both FPS and melee skills as they get up close and personal in visceral clashes between Imperium and Chaos factions. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will bring everything you have come to expect from the developers of the multimillion selling award-winning Warhammer: Vermintide franchise.

As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.

Fatshark unveiled Darktide’s most significant content drop yet. ‘Rejects Unite’ brings new missions, earnable cosmetics, a new enemy, updates to the store, and will slowly roll out Crossplay.

Rejects Unite

The latest drop for Darktide offers new content, including new missions, a new enemy, a revamped earnable cosmetics shop, and Crossplay, which will be rolled out slowly over the next few weeks.

Reject Unite - Content Update features

  • 2 NEW MISSIONS
    • Archivum Sycorax - Throneside
      • Deep dive into the Archives and Administratum Offices
      • “Archivum Sycorax is within our strike range, and there's plenty of data buried inside. Get in, access the Deep Archives, and bring us back something juicy. We've seditionists to root out.”
    • Ascension Riser 31 - Transit
      • Remix mission: Ascension Riser 31 is part of our first community event. Players will unite to achieve 3 challenges. Each challenge will unlock a reward; the last will be Ascension Riser 31.
      • “The Moebians are due to pay off some of their co-conspirators. The exchange is happening in a Chasm Station Transit Hub. Said payment's taking the form of prismata crystals. Worthless to you, but handy if you're manufacturing heavy weapons.”
  • ADDED ENEMY
    • Added the Chaos Spawn - an old fiend returns
  • COSMETICS
    • Lock/Unlocked cosmetic inventory view, for players to be able to track better what they have obtained so far
    • New earnable cosmetics
    • Earnable cosmetic shop
  • PREMIUM STORE
    • After a break to improve the experience, we are re-opening the premium store, featuring new sets of cosmetic items.

Lastly, Patch 10 is also part of the content drop.

Over the last six months, Darktide has seen many updates, patches, hotfixes, and content drops. “We know we missed the mark at launch,” says Juan Martinez, Executive Producer Darktide. “We acknowledged it, went through community feedback, and changed our approach to servicing the game. We’re updating Darktide regularly and have released two content drops, nine updates, and numerous hotfixes since launch. And we’re not stopping. Our latest drop, Rejects Unite, adds even more new content for everyone to sink their teeth into. I couldn’t be prouder of what the team has achieved thus far. And there’s more to come soon.”

Key Features:

  • Built on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s best-in-class melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide introduces intense WH40K gunplay to the mix. Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies. Feel the impact of each swipe, swing, and slice of a chainsword, or fry some flesh with a lasgun.
  • At its core, Darktide is a co-op game. Wandering too far, risks punishment by foes looking to immobilize or capture stray Rejects, such as the slavering Chaos Hound or the Moebian Trapper. Once you fall prey to such foes, only your teammates can save you! More than that, your innate toughness – your determination to press on through the pain – only recharges when you are in the proximity of your strike team.
  • Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial army, a snarky outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.
  • Step into the violent, dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.
  • Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.

Currently available for PC (Steam), Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will be coming to Xbox Series X|S soon.
