The Past Within is an asymmetrical co-op puzzle game in which one player explores the Past whereas the other ventures forth in the Future.In The Past Within, two players must work together and communicate with each other as they explore the bizarre, dreamlike universe of Rusty Lake in order to solve the many mysteries surrounding Albert Vanderboom. Play together with someone you deem trustworthy: one in The Past, the other in The Future.
The past and future cannot be explored alone! Team up with a friend and piece together the mysteries surrounding Albert Vanderboom. Communicate what you see around you to help one another solve various puzzles and explore the worlds from different perspectives!
The Past Within is the first co-op only point-and-click adventure set in the mysterious world of Rusty Lake. The story of The Past Within doesn’t require any prior knowledge of the series to be enjoyed!
To celebrate the release of The Past Within on Nintendo Switch, the game will be available at a discount of 40% in the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch until July 6.
The Past Within can be played together across all available platforms (PC, Mac, iOS, Android and soon also Nintendo Switch) and does not require an active internet connection. As long as both players have a copy of the game and can talk to each other in some way, they can play on whichever platform they prefer.
