The world of Evenor is being consumed by the foul force of the Gloom. As Wayfinders, lights amidst the darkness in a world consumed by Gloom, players must control the chaos and reconnect a fractured world as they choose a unique path through an online world of endless action and adventure. To cease the Gloom’s devastating decay of Evenor, players will choose from a variety of Wayfinders (characters) to control, each with their own unique story, play styles, and abilities, harnessing their power together to defend Evenor from forces that seek to destroy it.

Uniting with fellow Wayfinders, players will use their Gloom Dagger to adventure into Lost Zones - dungeon-like areas touched and consumed by the Gloom – resulting in shifting change and chaos. Wayfinders can control the chaos with their Gloom Dagger, an ancient artifact of obscure origin, strategically implementing mutators that can dictate enemies encountered, items and resources dropped, and more. Wayfinders attempting to control this chaos will find the Gloom pushing back - implementing its own augmentations and modifiers to enemy damage, environmental hazards, and more where no two play sessions are the same.

Developer Airship Syndicate and Warframe creator Digital Extremes invite players to jump into Wayfinder as Early Access commences worldwide today on Steam for PC, and PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5.

A love letter to fast-paced RPGs and MMOs, Wayfinder enters Early Access today with Gloom Break: Founder’s Season One, the first of two seasons exclusive to founding players with an all-star voice cast including Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect, Metroid Prime), Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop, God of War), JB Blanc (Darksiders, Apex Legends), Zeke Alton (Remnant II), and more.

Airship Syndicate is dedicated to using Early Access to build a strong foundation for years to come when Wayfinder launches free-to-play next year. Players in Early Access will adventure through six locations, collect six Wayfinders, and hunt powerful bosses to craft 17 weapons at launch, with even more planned throughout the season. Players in Early Access are entitled to so much more than access to the game –  exclusive rewards are available to players based on the Founder’s Pack purchased. Four Founder’s Pack tiers are available from Basic to Exalted: the higher the tier, the more exclusive the rewards. Founder’s rewards highlights include Heroic Kyros, the first Heroic-level Wayfinder available exclusively in Wayfinder’s Exalted Pack, the Highlands Strider Mount and Saddle, available only in Awakened and Exalted Packs, and the Founder’s Dye Set, available in the Initiate Pack and above. New Wayfinder content will be released in Seasons with each Season running for three months and containing tons of updates for both new and existing players. The marquee addition with each Season will be a new Wayfinder, along with their signature weapons and unique narrative and story elements. Each Season may also include new weapons, accessories, zones, hunts, mutators, and more, expanding the world of Wayfinder over time and allowing players to revisit existing areas of the game in meaningful and interesting new ways while enriching the game’s narrative with each update.

Utilizing Digital Extremes’ expertise in approach to free-and-fair monetization, everything in Wayfinder can be earned through gameplay and also unlocked with premium currency. Wayfinder Battle Passes never expire, allowing players to work towards unlocking items at their own pace without fear of losing out. While only one Battle Pass can be active at a time, players are encouraged to play their way and can swap which pass they’re progressing against at any time. An additional premium pass tier will be available for players to instantly unlock the new Wayfinder of each Season.
