The world of Ashfall has been devastated by nuclear war, caused by artificial intelligence that revolted against mankind and attempted to destroy its creators. In the aftermath of this destruction, a few pockets of civilization remain, as the last survivors struggle to live on in the scorched and dangerous land. All that remains is doom, gloom, and rust, but the spirit of humanity remains in the survivors. The players take on the role of the Wanderers, who are tasked with leaving the Vault and seeking the legendary “Core of Creation”, which may hold the key to mankind’s salvation.

The music of Ashfall was created by a world-class music production team which includes the Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (Dune, Dunkirk, No Time to Die, Gladiator), Inon Zur (Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age Origins), and Steve Mazzaro (No Time to Die, Army of Thieves, Icebox, The Amazing Spider-Man 2).

NetEase Games announced that Ashfall has launched its closed beta test in North America, offering players the chance to enjoy the game on both mobile and PC platforms.

The closed beta will last for two weeks, allowing players to explore this immersive new world and experience its innovative gameplay mechanics.

During the closed beta test, players will be able to experience:

• An eastern-style wasteland. The scenarios in Ashfall feature a blend of classic post-apocalyptic elements with Eastern cultures in music, architecture, monsters, and customs, constructing a magnificent and thrilling wasteland world.
• A Musical Feast of a Desolate World. The music of Ashfall is co-produced by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, Hollywood score master Steve Mazzaro, and Inon Zur, the music producer of Fallout series.
• An Exciting Adventure and Journey of Cultivation. Fight enemies, make deals with robots, craft your own gear and discover the edge of the world.
• Share the Experience with Crossplay. Ashfall supports both a solo adventure as well as a multiplayer experience with multi-platform crossplay.
