Bandai Namco Entertainment announced its first DLC for Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is coming to all platforms on January 25, 2024.

In Ritual of Bonds Volume 1, players will join Kirito alongside the legendary heroines of Sword Art Online - Asuna, Lisbeth, Silica, Sinon and many others as they embark on another adventure. While investigating a dungeon that suddenly appeared under the Obsidia Castle Town, Kirito and his friends face a new trial which can only be challenged in pairs. Experience the heartful journey of Kirito and his partner facing the Ritual of Bonds hand in hand in this new DLC.

Based on Sword Art Online’s War of Underworld anime arc, a new story unfolds with tough challenges that await our beloved hero, Kirito, and his new friends in Sword Art Online: Last Recollection. Players will unmask the Dark Knight and find out if Kirito and the crew will survive the relentless battling against the forces of the Dark Territory!

The final moments of the Underworld—a world created to give birth to the ultimate artificial intelligence A.L.I.C.E.—is approaching.

The gate separating the Human Empire and Dark Territory is about to open, and a war is about to begin.

At that moment, a dark knight accompanied by a young girl comes flying in from the other side of the gate.

“Whether the world ends or I die, what difference does it make?”

Is she a calamity who will bring an “end” to their tragic fate impossible to change…?

Taking a different path than the original Sword Art Online anime, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection will follow Kirito as he prepares to face a challenge like no other: the Underworld War. The gate to the Dark Territory cracks open, ready to unleash its terror upon the Human Realm, when a mysterious Dark Knight named Dorothy flies in with a mission for Kirito and his friends. They will once again have to fight to protect this world.

Players’ favorite characters from the series are back in the culmination of the Sword Art Online game series, taking an unpredictable turn from the Underworld War arc told in the anime and novel. Keeping its acclaimed JRPG style and increasing the action speed, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection will ensure a smooth coordination while playing with friends.
