Games Done Quick Reveals Frost Fatales' 2024 Schedule

by Rainier on Jan. 9, 2024 @ 2:36 p.m. PST

Games Done Quick released the official schedule for their all-women winter speedrunning charity event, Frost Fatales.

Frost Fatales will run from March 3-10 this year and features a lineup of limitless ladies and fantastic femme runners blasting through video games at top speed for the National Women's Law Center

Frost Fatales aims to highlight and celebrate community members who identify as femme or a woman in any way that is meaningful to them, granting space to runners and fans who might feel overlooked or uncomfortable in bigger events.

This year's runs include everything from multiplayer Stardew Valley to Waluigi's Taco Stand. We'll also see the return of Games Done Quick mainstays like Celeste, and other exciting offerings including a Hades race and tons of familiar franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Dark Souls, Pokémon, and Metal Gear.

Here are some of the week's highlights:

  • Super Mario Wonder - All Royal Seeds (catsi7)
  • Hades - Modded All Weps Race (arcalena, trash_lapras)
  • Pokémon Sword and Shield - Tower of Two Fists - Get Urshifu (GretaIceVixen)
  • Resident Evil 4 (2023) - Separate Ways NG+ (Abbiescorner)
  • Stardew Valley - Vault% NDE and Seeded Multiplayer Boiler Room runs (blackheartwings) (Blinksee, Lichat)
  • Super Mario Sunshine - Any% (jukatox)

Fans can catch Frost Fatales on Games Done Quick's official Twitch channel and donate to charity. All proceeds will go to the National Women's Law Center, a non-profit that advocates for women's and LGBTQ rights through litigation, policy, and culture change initiatives.

To date, Games Done Quick has raised over $46 million for charity across events. Last year, the organization raised over $2 million during SGDQ 2023 and made headlines in 2022 for raising $3.4 million during Awesome Games Done Quick 2022, breaking their record for the most money raised in a single event.
