 The iconic death sport returns with the new video game of fantasy football faithfully using the latest board game rules and new content. Create your team, then crush, mulch and cheat your way to the top... leaving your opponents in the graveyard.

Blood Bowl III is a videogame of fantasy football where elves, humans, orcs and other creatures fight for the ball with shoulder charges, kicks, punches and weapons of varying degrees of lethality (and legality by the ref). As the coach, you must give instructions to your players: hinder the progress of your opponents by positioning them in your tackle zone, knock down those who get in your way, and break through to your opponents' end zone to score a touchdown!

All your units can gain experience and receive statistic bonuses or new skills. However, be careful: injuries are common, especially when the referee is a goblin who tends to overlook most forms of violence. Some players may even leave the field limp and lifeless, putting an early and definitive end to their careers.

Cyanide Studio and NACON are pleased to present a detailed look at how the Blood Bowl 3 2024 World Championship – the game’s second official tournament – will be run.

Now that the qualifying rounds are over, the 64 players in the running are preparing for the next stages of the competition: a group phase (October 27 to November 15), followed by a knock-out phase (November 18 to December 1), culminating in the “Final 8” (December 6 to 8).

The culmination of the competition, the “Final 8” phase will comprise the quarter finals, the semi finals and the finals, broadcast on NACON’s official Twitch channel, and will bring together the 8 best Blood Bowl 3 players. They will face off for the honour of becoming the tournament champion and for a share of the €8,000 cash prize, divided between them. Furthermore, this last phase of the competition will be hosted by three commentators and analysts well known to fans of the game: MisspelledTree, AndyDavo and JimmyFantastic.

• Match 1 – From October 27th to November 3rd

• Tiebreaker Matches (if necessary) – Between November 15th and November 18th

KNOCK-OUT PHASE

• Round 1 – From November 18th to November 24th
• Round 2 – From November 24th to December 1st
• Quarter finals – December 6th
• Semi finals – December 7th
• Final & 3rd place Match – December 8th
• The “Final 8”, consisting of the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final, will take place over one weekend, from December 6th to 8th.

These matches will be broadcast live from studios on the official Nacon Twitch channel.

Blood Bowl III is a faithful adaptation of the Games Workshop board game, which is to receive a new edition this year. The game will use the new edition rules, teams (including the new Black Orcs and Imperial Nobility), units and associated skills. The best strategists will obviously be at an advantage, but will that be enough? All it takes is one unfortun6ate roll of the dice to change the course of a match.

At launch, the game will include 12 races, each with their own arena and team of cheerleaders, campaign and multiplayer modes, and loads of customization options.
