Based on the groundbreaking 1974 film, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror experience.

Take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims, in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, a third-person asymmetrical horror experience based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film.

As a victim you must use your wits and stealth to stay out of the Family's reach and find the tools you need to lead to your eventual freedom. Slaughter Family players must seek out, track down, and stop their guests from escaping. Players of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre can finally find out if they have what it takes to survive.

Experience the mad and macabre for yourself in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham are proud of the co-development for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and announced that Sumo Nottingham is working hand-in-hand to pass the torch to Black Tower Studios for the future development of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Both teams at Sumo Nottingham and Gun Interactive are on-boarding Black Tower Studios to the project and are excited for this partnership to help usher in new content and support.

Over the course of the past month, Black Tower Studios has been working alongside Sumo to prepare for their transition to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Gun Interactive and Black Tower Studios have had previous history with co-development, where collaboration and transparency are key pillars for both studios. Black Tower Studios is a development studio that has also worked on titles such as Predator Hunting GroundsGhostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Gun is very excited to welcome their talented team coming together to continue bringing the best to asymmetrical horror, as they created the Jarvis House and Pinehurst maps on Friday the 13th: the Game, as well as provided support.

As well, a number of other partners will be joining forces with Gun, such as Art Bully Productions for future cosmetics for all characters, Testronic Labs on QA testing, Saturday Morning Cereal for all game trailers and assisting in in-game cinematics, and Odd Gentleman, the studio behind Museum Mode as well as possible future modes. These teams are all dedicated to the vision for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as the game continues to evolve and expand.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre features an entirely new soundtrack overseen by composer and lead sound designer Ross Tregenza that channels Wayne Bell’s trailblazing sound design for the 1974 film, as well as an additional album, Remains, featuring music written and performed by Jim Bonney and Gun CEO and President Wes Keltner.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) at $39.99 USD.
