Gigantic: Rampage Edition features dynamic and exciting team-based multiplayer gameplay, a unique art style and a diverse roster of playable heroes, each with a set of upgradeable abilities. Players will team up with four other players to control objectives and take down the opposing team’s mighty Guardian, all while protecting their own.

In addition to the original game content, Rampage Edition will introduce new features, including crossplay support, new heroes, new game modes, new maps, upgraded content and gameplay improvements. As a premium experience, the game will have zero microtransactions as players will be able to unlock all content through gameplay or with in-game currency earned by playing.

Gigantic: Rampage Edition will give fans of the original game a bigger and more Gigantic experience than ever before, while welcoming new players, including hero shooter and MOBA fans, to the thrilling team-based multiplayer game. Additionally, following the launch of Rampage Edition, a Ranked Mode and new hero skins will be released as free updates.

Gearbox Publishing and Abstraction Games are excited to share a new Hero Spotlight trailer revealing the cunning, blunderbuss-wielding bounty hunter, Roland, one of the two new heroes being added to Gigantic’s exciting roster of diverse heroes in Gigantic: Rampage Edition.

Roland will be officially introduced and playable for the first time in Gigantic: Rampage Edition when it launches in April.

A ranged DPS, shooter archetype hero armed with a blunderbuss and gadgets, Roland is a world-hardened man, who lost his arm, but gained unparalleled reach thanks to his grappling hook. With the grappling hook, it can be used to strategically get to different locations in each map – and can be used to either get closer to or further away from enemies. With his hook and blunderbuss in hand, along with powerful gadgets such as his trusty drone and tricky entangling bolas, he can dish out plenty of damage to enemies in an instant while deploying traps to stop enemies in their tracks. 

Roland was one of the first heroes revealed with the announcement of the original version of Gigantic developed by Motiga back in 2014 and was playable during a brief pre-alpha test, but did not end up in the game as planned. Abstraction Games took the initial concepts of the hero that Motiga had created to officially bring the highly-requested hero to life in Gigantic for the first time in Gigantic: Rampage Edition. Fans of the original can look forward to finally playing as the hero after all these years, while new fans can experience what makes this hero and all the heroes in Gigantic so unique in Rampage Edition.
