Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities!

Publisher Raw Fury and indie developer Bytten Studio revealed that Cassette Beasts will be getting a new multiplayer update, a Moonstone Island in-game collaboration event and will be coming to mobile devices soon. 

• Players can look forward to the Multiplayer update coming on May 20. Through the update, players will be able to: 
  • Party and explore the world of Cassette Beasts with up to 8 friends, all visible in their world.
  • Join a “Play With Friends” mode where players can match with anyone on their friends list via an invite code
  • Challenge their friends in PvP battles and assign custom rules to their battle such as enabling/disabling sticker attributes.
  • Team up for 2-player co-op raids against Rogue Fusions, and trade tapes with each other. 
  • Additionally, any existing game owners interested in checking out the Multiplayer update early can access the Beta via the beta branch on Steam now until May 20.

• Moonstone Island Collaboration Event
  • Beginning on May 20, fans can jump into an in-game collaboration event with Moonstone Island, which includes Moonstone-Island themed costumes, as well as a Cassette Beasts’ Pombomb added to Moonstone Island’s Spirit roster. 
• Mobile Launch Announcement 
  • Also announced, Cassette Beasts will launch on mobile devices soon, bringing the experience to new audiences worldwide.

• Transform into monsters...using retro cassette tapes?!: Faced with the constant threat of monster attacks, the residents of Harbourtown, New Wirral choose to fight fire with fire. Record a monster to tape, then play it back to take on its form for battle!
• Fuse monster forms!: Getting close to your companion has benefits–while transformed you can combine your strengths to gain the upper hand in battle! Any two monster forms can be fused to produce unique, fully-animated new fusion forms.
• Explore a rich open world: Certain monster abilities can be used in human form. You’ll need these to help you get around, solve puzzles, and locate dungeons. Glide, fly, swim, climb, dash, or turn magnetic!
• Travel alongside a diverse cast of human companions: Never fight alone! Form bonds, spend time together, and help your selected partner complete personal goals to become a better team. The strength of your relationship determines how well you’re able to fuse!
• Master a deep battle system: Take advantage of elemental chemistry to apply extra buffs or debuffs alongside your attack, or even alter your opponent’s elemental type!
• Play Couch Co-op with Friends: Team up in local multiplayer for up to two players. Explore the open world, transform and battle together as a duo!
