In this game, foam is the ultimate resource. It’s your greatest weapon and your greatest tool.

Foamstars pits two teams of colorful characters against one another in fun, fast-paced, foam-filled battles.

It can be used in multiple ways: To create slippery surfaces that players can use to surf around the arena at high speed; to build terrain, helping players defend from enemy attacks or creating high vantage points to take out opponents; and finally, to foam up the opposition and win the match.

Square Enix announced Foamstars will launch its newest Mysterious Swing season on April 12, 2024.

New and returning players will soon have access to a new character, new events, and a variety of new free and premium cosmetic content. Mysterious Swing will be available to all players and runs from April 12 until May 17.

Highlights include:

• A new Foamstars – Chloe Noir: a mysterious art gallery director who uses a straight-shooting foam charge rifle to hunt down opponents using Ciel, her Bubble Beastie. Chloe Noir can be acquired by all players for free as a Tier 31 reward for the Season Pass or can be obtained immediately by purchasing the Premium Pass.
• Weekly free limited-time items: Slide into the Foamstars shop every Friday to get free content. One item per week is available for all players and includes a Character Skin for Mel T, a Foam Gun Skin for Jet Justice, and more.
• Ranked Party: Two limited-time seasonal events, the solo player-based Ranked Party Lonestar and team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe.
• Extreme Party: Challenge players in two special themed events; the All Chloe Party - where every player team competes to chill opponent teams as… Chloe Noir, and the Bubbly Penguin Party, where players can only fight using Penny Gwyn with her Toboggan Bomb and Emperor March skills.

New character: Chloe Noir

First up, a new FOAMSTAR joins the contest - Chloe Noir.

This mysterious art gallery director seeks beauty in battle. She’s equipped with a charge rifle that shoots straight foam shots with impressive precision. In the right hands, she can be deadly in the arena. She can also hunt down her rivals with her bubble beastier Ciel, conjure wings to take to the skies and much more!

She’s an effective FOAMSTAR with a very unique feel - hopefully you’ll really enjoy using her! You can unlock Chloe through play by progressing the free Season Pass to Tier 31. Alternatively, purchasing the Premium Pass will unlock her for use immediately.

But while Chloe’s a real gem, she’s not the only one coming to the game…

Skill Gems

Skill Gems are a new addition that add even more customization to the game. You can use these gems to strengthen your FOAMSTARS’ standard and Superstar skills - the effects differ depending on the character.

You can make Skill Gems by using Energy Stones that you acquire while competing in matches. In addition, the new feature means that the existing three bubble slots will now be categorized as Star Gems.

What limited time events are included in Season 3?

As with previous seasons, you’ll be able to take part in special events and match types. Here’s what to expect:

Ranked Party

In Ranked Party, you use RP (Rank Points) to compete in special matches. Your performance in these events will help you climb the ranks, from Bronze Star all the way up to Party Legend.

Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe

Teams of up to four members battle for dominance across multiple game modes.

This is where things get really crazy! Season 3 has two types of Extreme Parties, each taking place twice throughout the season.
