World Of Tanks is a team-based massively multiplayer online action game dedicated to armored warfare. Throw yourself into the epic tank battles of World War II with other steel cowboys all over the world. Your arsenal includes more than 150 armored vehicles from America, Germany, and the Soviet Union, carefully detailed with historical accuracy.
Ride the legendary Tiger tank, or choose the fast-and-furious Soviet T-34, practice your sharp-shooting skills with the American 155mm M40 Gun Motor Carriage or try experimental/prototype machines such as the Germany's monstrous Maus tank. A Player can have an endless number of tanks in "garage", and all machines can be upgraded in dozens of ways: better turrets, chassis, guns, engines, radios, various ammunition types, plus tank crew members can be leveled up as well.
World of Tanks players are in for a treat as the hit anime franchise Girls und Panzer returns to World of Tanks, this time bringing even more content for players to enjoy.
From May 16 to May 31, tank commanders will have the opportunity to enlist the expertise of three renowned crews. The legendary Team-Ankou from Ōarai Girls’ High School is joined by two more teams from other schools where the art of sensha-dō is respected: Kuromorimine Girls’ High School and Jatkosota High School. In addition to the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H Ankou, players will be able to obtain new Premium vehicles inspired by the Girls und Panzer universe: the Tiger II Kuromorimine and the BT-42 Jatkosota HS.
The Tiger II Kuromorimine takes pride of place in Kuromorimine Girls' High School's sensha-dō arsenal. Its fearsome gun, capable of causing devastating damage, and its robust armor make it perfectly suited to the Nishizumi approach to tankery—with an emphasis on precise attack and impenetrable defense—that Kuromorimine excels at. The Tiger II was integral to Kuromorimine's progress in the 63rd National Sensha-dō High School Tournament and, under the command of Erika Itsumi, it also played a valiant role in Kuromorimine's defeat to Ōarai in the tournament's finals.
The compact BT-42 Jatkosota HS accommodates a three-woman crew: Commander Mika, Loader Aki, and Driver Mikko in Jatkosota High School’s sensha-dō team. Most effective when fighting to the rousing kantele melody of Säkkijärven Polkka, the BT-42 excels in close combat, where its high-caliber howitzer can really shine. The BT-42's moment of glory came during the Battle for Ōarai, when its Christie suspension allowed it to keep running even without its tracks and heroically take out a platoon of M26 Pershings from the All-Stars University Team.
Girls und Panzer characters bring their spirited personalities to the battlefield, with custom voiceovers provided by the original voice actresses. This includes the entire Team-Ankou from Ōarai Girls’ High School (Miho Nishizumi, Saori Takebe, Hana Isuzu, Yukari Akiyama, and Mako Reizei), Erika Itsumi from Kuromorimine Girls’ High School, and the Jatkosota High School Team (Mika, Aki, and Mikko). Players can align themselves with their favorite sensha-dō team leader, complete missions, and recruit their preferred character to command their vehicles.
Tankers will also have access to an extended set of 2D customization items, including emblems, inscriptions, and decals representing schools and teams from the Girls und Panzer universe, a unique Ōarai adjustable style, two new Kuromorimine and Jatkosota High School 2D styles, and a collection of chibi-style and pin-up decals featuring the leaders of each school.
Additionally, all tankers can participate in special missions that will reward them with various GuP-themed items including particularly desirable ones such as Commanders Miho, Mika, and Erika. Players just need to select the battle mission chain for whichever Commander they wish to receive.
World Of Tanks is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
