Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is the first entry in the series since Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 released in 2007 on PS2

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero brings the series forward to a new era by harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 5 and pushing the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero also brings the franchise back to the original Japanese naming convention, where the original Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi was titled Dragon Ball Z: Sparking!

The game’s gravity-defying fights promise to ‘shake the earth, break the heavens’, with each Dragon Ball character’s signature destructive powers and Ki abilities showcased in stunning detail with damage capable of destroying entire parts of the arena.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed the destructive powers wielded by fused warriors in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. 

The above trailer showcases dozens of newly revealed characters making up the epic roster in the upcoming game. It also highlighted the explosive abilities players can harness when two DRAGON BALL warriors fuse into one fighter. 

In the new trailer, fused warriors take center stage. These formidable warriors are based on the fusion of two characters, either by performing the fusion dance or wearing special earrings, called Potaras, that allow for a fusion to happen. Players will be able to unleash their destructive attacks and skills and take the advantage in battle.

The below 21 characters join the Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero playable character list (bringing the total roster to 82), which keeps growing and will be the largest in the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise.
