Since releasing their first simulation “Railworks” as Railsimulator.com Ltd in 2009, the award-winning team have been dedicated to creating the highest quality, most realistic simulation products for simulation fans globally.
“We couldn’t be prouder of our staff and the heritage we are building at Dovetail Games” stated Dovetail Games COO Gemma Johnson-Brown, “Everyone here has a passion for creating simulations that they want to, and do, play themselves. To create products that truly bring joy to thousands of people every day and are among the most-played simulators on the Steam Store is a wholly satisfying achievement. We thank our players for their dedication to us and our products and we are looking to the future with excitement and anticipation.”
A decade and a half later, the company has grown along with their number of products; 170 passionate and creative individuals support the digital hobbies of players from around the globe, with players in 130+ countries. Working with licensors and third-party developers, Dovetail Games’ simulators and DLC cover iconic lines loved by railfans the world over. There are more than 700 pieces of DLC available on Train Simulator Classic alone covering modern to historic experiences, and the community has made over 25,000 Steam Workshop creations for the simulator.
To mark the anniversary, the Kent based publisher will be rewarding fans with a piece of DLC which mirrors their home route, the Chatham Main Line, which is free to download on the Steam Store from 10th to 17th June. But that’s not all, the Steam Store will host a DLC Anniversary Sale and as a very special event, the original score for Train Simulator Classic has been reimagined for the anniversary and is available now on Spotify, Apple Music and more.
This is all of course in addition to the recently announced free update to Train Simulator Classic, the exclusive “15th Anniversary Pack” for purchasers of the Deluxe Edition and the new Rail Subscription programme.
