In Bounce Arcade, players are transported inside the immersive environment of a pinball machine where they’ll use their hands as paddles to keep the ball in play and rack up as many points as they can.
In Bounce Arcade, players are transported inside immersive 3D table arenas featuring classic pinball-inspired mechanics like rails and bumpers, along with new tricks and secrets to uncover. Players will start with a set number of balls, and using their paddles, they must keep the ball in play to rack up points while navigating thrilling level specific mechanics. In round progression unlocks mini games and events, and alters the gameplay to keep Bounce Arcade thrilling round after round.
The game keeps players on their toes as the difficulty can increase with multi-ball game play. Certain level events will cause multiple balls to be added to the environment which creates a period of more intense action. The player can use the paddles to deflect balls or use additional innovative control mechanics introduced in Bounce Arcade. Players can attract balls with a tractor beam and even control balls in mid-flight with the “lasso” mechanic to guide the ball to where they want. With the addition of these skill shots there is lots for the player to master, creating a ton of replayability.
"At Velan Studios, we're wildly passionate about creating magical experiences, and VR has given us a whole new playground to conduct some serious mad science,” said Ed Tumbusch, Game Director, Velan Studios. “With Bounce Arcade we had the opportunity to completely reimage the experience of pinball in themed, virtual worlds. We've super-sized all of the nostalgic, frantic elements and given them a whole new treatment with gameplay that can only be realized in virtual reality. With Meta Quest’s technology, we’re bringing players inside the machine to be one with the paddles, and we can’t wait for them to experience it first hand.”
