Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is the first entry in the series since Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 released in 2007 on PS2

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero brings the series forward to a new era by harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 5 and pushing the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero also brings the franchise back to the original Japanese naming convention, where the original Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi was titled Dragon Ball Z: Sparking!

The game’s gravity-defying fights promise to ‘shake the earth, break the heavens’, with each Dragon Ball character’s signature destructive powers and Ki abilities showcased in stunning detail with damage capable of destroying entire parts of the arena.

Engage in exhilarating battles with exceptional visual fidelity, fighting arenas with destructible environments, and an incredible roster of Dragon Ball fighters.

The new trailer featured on the Summer Game Fest livestream teased at a newly-revealed game mode, Episode Battle, showcasing a visually-stunning and authentic continuation of the BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series.

Episode Battle will let players pick one of eight characters and relive key battles in the Dragon Ball saga. The new trailer also reveals new additions to the playable character list, including Goku (Super), Ultra Instinct, Gohan (Adult), Super Saiyan 2, Golden Frieza, Bardock, Raditz, Goku Black, Zamasu, as well as Jiren, Full Power.

Also revealed for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, Custom Battle introduces a new element to experiencing Dragon Ball as a game, where players can try their hands at a match imagined by the developers or create their own battle scenarios and share them with the world.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is available in Standard Edition as well as premium versions, detailed below:

• The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Standard Edition, 3 days of early access to the game, as well as the Season Pass, which contains more than 20 characters including characters from DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO and DRAGON BALL DAIMA as well as the Shenron Summon that can unlock items. Early access to DLC characters is also included.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is coming exclusively to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) on October 11, 2024.
