Fairy Tail 2 brings fans back to the epic action of the original series’ climax, the Alvarez Empire Arc. In this new title, players will not only be able to control Natsu and Lucy as main characters, but also other members of the Fairy Tail guild in order to defeat their greatest enemy, Zeref, the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire, who is protected by the Spriggan 12 and the Black Dragon, Acnologia.

The series is loved by fans of both the manga and anime, with the original manga selling more than 72 million copies worldwide, and Fairy Tail 2 transforms these beloved characters into the video game realm.

Fairy Tail 2 features 3D graphics and improved gameplay with more intense and spectacular battles, in which players will use powerful magic and a variety of other strategic elements in order to take down enemies in stunning sequences of action. Players will also be able to explore the vast map seamlessly, enhancing the experience of the original work while furthering the thrilling story of the final chapter.

Publisher KOEI TECMO and developer Gust revealed new information about the main characters of Fairy Tail 2.

In addition, fans can catch a glimpse of the game’s original story, “The Key to the Unknown” through newly released images that feature events taking place after the final battle of the original work depicted in the manga.

In Fairy Tail 2, players will take control of Natsu and other members of the Fairy Tail guild, including iconic characters such as Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Wendy as they journey seamlessly across the vast fields of the Kingdom of Fiore. Together, they’ll fight in flashy magical battles against their arch nemesis, Emperor Zeref of the Alvarez Empire, and the Spriggan 12, a group of formidable mages which includes the likes of Irene, Ajeel, Dimaria, and Brandish.

As the game progresses, not only will fans be able to relive the climax of the final chapter of the Alvarez Empire Arc, but they will also discover a series of all-new events that follow the manga’s final battle in the original chapter, “The Key to the Unknown”, a storyline completely unique to Fairy Tail 2.

In addition, the game features “Character Stories”, unique to Fairy Tail 2, which will give players the unprecedented opportunity to discover new aspects of their favorite characters. Fans will also enjoy an original story, the “Key to Hidden Secrets”, that will allow them to experience events taking place after the final battle of the original work!

Fairy Tail 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC (Steam) in Winter 2024.
