'Life Is Strange: Double Exposure' Is Partnering With Polaroid And Dr. Martens Brands For In-Game Representation

by Rainier on Aug. 14, 2024 @ 1:38 p.m. PDT

In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Max Caulfield discovers her friend, Safi, dead in the snow. Max tries to save her but ends up in a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive and in danger! Max must go between the two timelines to solve and prevent the same murder.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is the next entry in the critically acclaimed narrative adventure franchise. Developed by Deck Nine Games, Life is Strange: Double Exposure is an all-new supernatural murder mystery that will excite both new and returning players.

Max Caulfield, photographer-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University, discovers her closest new friend, Safi, dead in the snow. Murdered. To save her, Max tries to Rewind time, a power she's not used in years. Instead, Max opens the way to a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive, and still in danger! Max realizes the killer will soon strike again — in both versions of reality.

It's up to Max to shift between the two parallel timelines to both solve and prevent her friend's murder. But with a relentless detective on her back, and the killer growing closer with every clue uncovered, can Max survive long enough to do the impossible?

Square Enix is partnering with both Polaroid and Dr. Martens to feature the timeless Polaroid Now camera and classic Dr. Martens smooth 1460 Cherry Red boots in the upcoming Life is Strange: Double Exposure video game.

Polaroid

Max Caulfield, professional photographer and investigator of supernatural mysteries, has never lost her love for instant photography. In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Max uses the Polaroid Now Generation 2 i-Type camera to create beautifully imperfect in-game images in the iconic Polaroid style.

This classic, analog instant camera also comes with a double exposure feature that is deeply integrated with both the game’s Polaroid photography mode – and the story! Look for the camera featured prominently in the game, as well in real life.

Dr. Martens

In Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Max Caulfield wears a pair of iconic Dr. Martens 1460 Smooth leather cherry red boots as she pursues the truth behind the tragic mystery that is at the center of the game’s story.

Equally at home taking photographs in abandoned buildings or exploring the Caledon college campus in search of clues, Max’s choice of boots is a natural extension of her style and character.

Max will showcase different colors of the 1460 ankle boots through the alternate Outfit Packs, with a variety of stylish and cosplay outfits available across all three editions of the game.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure will be available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. Players can pre-order the Ultimate Edition to gain Advanced Access to Chapters 1 and 2 on October 15, 2024, two weeks ahead of the release of the full game. There's also a Square Enix Store-exclusive Collector's Edition that can be purchased separately or alongside whichever Edition you prefer; it includes a limited edition 12" vinyl soundtrack from the game.
