Fairy Tail 2 brings fans back to the epic action of the original series’ climax, the Alvarez Empire Arc. In this new title, players will not only be able to control Natsu and Lucy as main characters, but also other members of the Fairy Tail guild in order to defeat their greatest enemy, Zeref, the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire, who is protected by the Spriggan 12 and the Black Dragon, Acnologia.

The series is loved by fans of both the manga and anime, with the original manga selling more than 72 million copies worldwide, and Fairy Tail 2 transforms these beloved characters into the video game realm.

Fairy Tail 2 features 3D graphics and improved gameplay with more intense and spectacular battles, in which players will use powerful magic and a variety of other strategic elements in order to take down enemies in stunning sequences of action. Players will also be able to explore the vast map seamlessly, enhancing the experience of the original work while furthering the thrilling story of the final chapter.

Publisher KOEI TECMO and developer Gust revealed that Fairy Tail 2 will be released Dec. 13 across the PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, and Dec. 11 on  PC via Steam.

In celebration, a thrilling new trailer was unveiled, giving fans a glimpse inside the game’s epic action.

The newly unveiled trailer features a first look at the heroic and speedy magic battles Natsu and the team must unleash in order to defeat their greatest enemy, Zeref, the Emperor Spriggan of the Alvarez Empire. Battles have been completely revamped to reflect the exciting action during combat as fans will be given the opportunity to use the full scope of the Fairy Tail guild members’ skills to triumph over opponents. Players will need to take advantage of the synergy between different characters to unleash devastating attacks if they are to defeat Zeref and his elite unit of mages known as the Spriggan 12.

In addition to the standard edition which is now available for pre-order, a special edition will also be exclusively available through the NIS America store. The “Fairy Tail 2 GUILD BOX” edition includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (three types in total), and more.

Additionally, fans will be able to digitally pre-order the “Fairy Tail 2 Digital Deluxe Edition” at a later date which will include additional in-game content such as costumes, characters, scenarios, and various DLC to enhance the game experience! More information will be shared soon.

Everyone who either physically or digitally purchases Fairy Tail 2 will also have access to the “Miss FAIRY TAIL Contest” costume for Lucy as an early purchase bonus which will be available to download from the digital storefronts until Dec. 27, 2024.

In addition, the game features “Character Stories”, unique to Fairy Tail 2, which will give players the unprecedented opportunity to discover new aspects of their favorite characters. Fans will also enjoy an original story, the “Key to Hidden Secrets”, that will allow them to experience events taking place after the final battle of the original work!

Fairy Tail 2 is coming to PC (Steam) on December 11, 2024, followed by Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS5 on Dec. 13 2024.
