Welcome to Motorfest! This one-of-a-kind festival will let players enjoy the best experiences car culture has to offer. Whichever way players enjoy cars and driving, there is something in there for them.
The Crew Motorfest has settled down in one of the most breathtaking and vibrant places on Earth: the island of O‘ahu in the Hawaiian archipelago. This is the perfect playground to let players have fun together with their vehicles: racing through the city streets of Honolulu, going down the ashy volcano slopes, adventuring deep in the lush rainforest, drifting along the curvy mountain roads or just chilling down on the sunny beach. On their own or with their crew, they will be able to explore the entire island behind the wheel of hundreds of the most legendary vehicles.
At the heart of the Motorfest experience, players will discover the Playlists: a selection of themed campaigns offering unique and exciting car culture experiences. Each Playlist is carefully designed to immerse players in a different car culture universe through a series of tailored races, themed events and challenges. Conquer the wild world of American Muscle cars; leave your mark in a Japan-inspired night racing scene; or prove you can win a competition without GPS and assisted driving at the wheel of legendary classics of the past. More than a dozen Playlists will be available at launch, with other themes going from mastering cutting-edge electric supercars – a brand-new vehicle category - to exploring the universes of the most prestigious car brands and creators.
With more than 610 vehicles at launch, players will get to choose and customize their rides from one of the most diverse line-ups of models ever, from both the past and the future! Among these is the Lamborghini Revuelto, the first V12 hybrid plug-in super sports car of the Italian brand and revealed today to be The Crew Motorfest’s Cover Car. Players will soon be able to enjoy the thrill of driving this hybrid super sports car at full speed under the Hawaiian skies.
Today, Ubisoft made new announcements about the future of The Crew franchise, including the gameplay reveal of multiple elements of The Crew Motorfest’s massive Year 2 content update, during The Crew Showcase 2024. The development team from Ubisoft Ivory Tower gave players a thorough overview of Year 2’s grand arrival on 6th November with the launch of Season 5 and the addition of a new playground available for free to all players: the breathtaking island of Maui.
The Crew Motorfest launched in September 2023, and has since seen four Seasons' worth of free post-launch content including new vehicles, Playlists, customization options, and more. In Year 2, it's getting its biggest update yet: Starting on November 6, The Crew Motorfest map will get 50% bigger as all players get access to the entire island of Maui for free. Maui will be seamlessly integrated into the game world, meaning you'll be able to travel between the two islands by sea, by air, or by land via a connecting bridge, all without any loading screens.
During the showcase, the development team also expressed their commitment to ensuring long-term access to both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. Both games will continue to be playable and will include an offline mode deployed in the future. Players who have not yet gotten behind the wheel will be able to benefit from the biggest discount offers ever seen on The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. Additionally, all The Crew 2 players will have access to 4 vehicles for only one Crew Credit, to kick-start their adventures across land, air, and sea.
Starting on 6th November, all The Crew Motorfest players will be able to roam the island of Maui for free, adding over 100km² of pure on and off-roading fun, which represents nearly 50% of O’ahu’s size. Going from one island to the other will be a seamless experience, as Maui will be accessible by sea, by air or by the road through a new bridge, without any loading screen. This new playground has been designed to represent the vibrant melting pot of cultures that is Maui, blending ancient Hawaiian traditions with modern influences, set to make players' journeys more captivating than ever. They will discover the road to Hana, deep lush bamboo forests, mesmerising waterfalls, and narrow bridges showcasing Maui's natural wonders. Players will also be able to experience the beauty of Kaihalulu beach, with its glowing red sands, and explore the legendary Haleakalā National Park, the "House of the Sun"! The island's vibrant heart, Kahului, features a lively city center, a deep-draft harbour, and verdant suburbs to explore. Maui beckons, offering endless exploration and exhilarating motorised escapades.
Season 5 is the first of the 3 added with Year 2, packed with free fresh automotive thrills for players to enjoy. It will mark the return of the beloved “Made in Japan” playlist, with Volume 2 introducing brand new neon races, events, and locations. New street racer squads have arrived at the festival, and they are determined to dominate the asphalt, putting players to the test! Once all the main events have been tackled, players will unlock the Rivals Race board and get into ruthless face-offs in dynamic one-on-one races across the open roads of both islands. But this is just the beginning! Weeks of content have been lined up for Season 5, with new challenges, car culture themes, and exciting rides to collect for the season.
Finally, the Year 2 update will also bring premium PVE content with “The Chase Squad”, a new Motorfest twist on car chase gameplay. As members of the Squad, players will master the art of the Chase, embarking on an adrenaline-fueled journey to hunt down, outsmart, and outmaneuver urban racing rivals in intense face-offs across the islands. French artist Carpenter Brut created “Death Racer”, an exclusive track to ignite these nocturnal pursuits and keep players on edge while tracking their rivals throughout the islands of O’ahu and Maui. This original soundtrack will be available on all digital platforms this coming fall.
The Chase Squad experience will be included in the Year 2 Pass, which will be available on 6th November. It will also be part of the refreshed Gold and Ultimate editions of The Crew Motorfest, available on the same date. The Year 2 Pass will unlock access to 20 additional vehicles in total: 9 vehicles will be available from day one, while the remaining 11 vehicles will be released in monthly drops throughout the year.
Players who still haven't picked up The Crew 2 can do so for just one dollar from September 10-24, and will be able to unlock four different vehicles with only one Crew Credit. From now until September 23, you can save up to 70% on The Crew Motorfest or 98% on The Crew 2.
