You play Val, a brilliant mechanic from the slum district but a rebel first and foremost.

Val sees no excuse for her people having so little, when the Queen’s chosen elite flaunt so much. And while many work day and night to keep the springwork foundries running, no one dares to say anything about it. The ministries regulate every aspect of civilian life and any illegal act is cut from your rations.

The people are scared and try to make the best out of life what they can, finding joy in the beauty of this very last city on earth, powered by the 'honest sweat' of human labour.

There is more going on, and Val wants to get to the bottom of it.

Indie developers Alterego Games and The Naked Dev announced that City of Springs is coming to Steam Early Access on January 31, 2025, and will remain so for 1-2 years.

It is stable, has 8-20 hours of gameplay consisting out of 32 main quests and 43 sidequests and it tells the full story of the main protagonist.”

“The final release is planned to feature a lot of quality-of-life changes, more quests, smoother gameplay, massive visual upgrades, better performance, added language localisations and a massively improved atmosphere.”

Sneak into forbidden areas, help the people rebel, and explore the streets of Riveton. Combat robotic guards with little robot drones you build from the scrap you find on the street. Help the populace in a time where food and water are scarce, finding a smarter way to live.

Fight the system enforced by the Queen’s robots. Take it apart and fix it, like Val does with broken machines. The tactical fights are one of the things that makes the game unique. Use your own drones and craft and modify them to your desire.
