Dead Meat is an experimental murder-mystery game that tells the story of Lucia - a robotics engineer who’s definitely maybe just killed her husband. You play the role of Detective, charged with getting a confession - armed with nothing but your trusty "Mind Reader 3000".
Ask Lucia a question, manipulate, persuade, threaten, read her mind, or even seduce and use what you've learnt to get closer to the truth. Get a confession, and you win the game. But be warned: Lucia's no push over. So you'll have to get creative - employing classic strategies you've seen in the movies, or even inventing entirely new ones.
Dead Meat has been written in partnership with Script Compass – London’s leading script development consultancy – and aims to explore the new creative possibilities unlocked for developers and writers through author-led machine learning.
The trailer unveils the game’s wider narrative – featuring a cast of eccentric suspects, and immersing players in a macabre conspiracy of billionaires and butchery.
“We’re excited to share the full vision of Dead Meat for the very first time”, say game directors Thomas Keane and Ben Ackland. “This is your chance to put an evil sect of billionaires in the interrogation chair - and grill them within an inch of their life. A fitting tale for the modern age, you might say... but with more blood, burgers, and body-parts.”
Key Features:
- Interrogate 15+ eccentric suspects using voice or keyboard!
- Use mind-reading abilities to explore new leads and crack the case!
- Employ classic interrogation strategies, or invent wild, unorthodox approaches!
- Watch suspects respond emotionally to your tactics in real time!
- Piece together a macabre mega-conspiracy of big bad billionaires!
Dead Meat is coming to PC (Steam) in 2025.
