Starfinder: Afterlight will have players scour the stars, face enemies armed with both mystical powers and advanced tech, and lead a team of charmingly questionable companions—each with their own storyline—in a universe-spanning adventure like no other.
Players had traveled far enough to witness the obliteration of the galaxy, and managed to get back alive. With the captain missing in action and doomsday close at hand, they will have to assemble a crew of misfits and save the Pact Worlds from a threat no one else can even believe. Piece of cake, right?
The iconic tabletop sci-fantasy RPG franchise lends its 2nd edition rules to a video game for the first time. This ensures plenty of intergalactic travel, eccentric creatures, sarcastic megacorporations, and gloriously chaotic quests with messy results. Starfinder: Afterlight offers a fresh take on tactical, turn-based combat, blending lasers and magic in a vibrant space opera.
Epictellers Entertainment and Paizo revealed that Neil Newbon (Resident Evil Village, Baldur’s Gate 3) not only directs the voice cast of Starfinder: Afterlight, but will also step into the role of Preach.
Preach (class: Mystic), is a Shirren devoted to mentoring and protecting the “Golden One”, a prophesied larva miracle of Hylax, that accompanies him in this adventure. Newbon will infuse the character with a distinctive personality, bringing this sage to life and following his journey toward becoming a famous High Priest. Whether (or how) Preach fulfils his destiny will depend on the player’s choices and how they handle the challenges scattered across the galaxy.
The space crew also includes Captain Khali (voiced by Carolina Ravassa known for Overwatch, Dragon Age: The Veilguard), Kole (class: Soldier, voiced by Fred Tatasciore), Tycho (class: Operative, voiced by Inel Tomlinson), Lu-323 (class: Envoy, voiced by Melissa Medína), and Sterling (Class: Solarian, voiced by James Alexander).
Additional cast members will be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Starfinder: Afterlight Kickstarter campaign was funded in less than 2 hours, and with another 10 days to go has reached over $681k.
Starfinder: Afterlight is set to release in Steam Early Access in 2026.
