No kingdom. No memories. After a 100-year slumber, Link wakes up alone in a world he no longer remembers. Now the legendary hero must explore a vast and dangerous land and regain his memories before Hyrule is lost forever.
From the haunting piano notes of its main theme to the heart-swelling orchestral finale of “Epilogue,” The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has one of the most memorable and unique soundtracks in the epic adventure game series. And soon you’ll be able to bring the feeling of traversing the vast fields of Hyrule with you into this world, by pre-purchasing new vinyl collections of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild soundtrack.
Nintendo has partnered with Laced Records to bring the sweeping music of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to fans with collectible vinyl collaborations arriving June 19, 2026: a double LP and an epic 8-LP box set, both available as limited-edition colored vinyl or standard black vinyl and featuring archival artwork created by the game development team. Pre-purchase for the limited-edition colored vinyl collections is available today on My Nintendo Store and at Laced Records.
The limited-edition double-LP set features blue-and-white marbled heavyweight discs packaged in a wide-spined outer sleeve with printed inner sleeve. The limited-edition 8-LP Box Set features alternative blue and gold splatter effect heavyweight discs with printed disc inners and spined inner sleeves, housed in a rigid board dual slipcase. These limited-edition versions will be available directly from Laced Records, My Nintendo Store, Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco while supplies last. The standard-edition black vinyl versions will be available at select retailers.
The 8-LP Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Soundtrack Box Set includes 130 tracks, all newly remastered for the vinyl format. Each of the eight discs is sequenced around a theme, which mirrors the progression of the game experience. Themes revolve around exploring the Kingdom of Hyrule, freeing the Divine Beasts from Calamity Ganon’s hold and discovering the mysteries of the Shrines.
The Double-LP set features 34 select tracks, including fan-favorite musical cues like “Overworld (Day),” “Great Fairy Fountain,” and “Hyrule Castle” – all chosen to create an aural landscape that transports listeners back to the final days of the Great Calamity.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the first major Nintendo game soundtracks being made available on vinyl outside of Japan, and these collections highlight the game’s distinct musical palette, created by composers Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Hajime Wakai and Soshi Abe – from the gentle piano that underscores the open world exploration to the rhythmic tension of enemy battles to the alien sounds that accompany Sheikah technology.
The soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also available to stream through Nintendo Music, an exclusive smart-device app for Nintendo Switch Online members featuring music from an array of Nintendo titles ranging from the original Legend of Zelda game to Super Mario Galaxy to Kirby and the Forgotten Land and more. Users can create playlists, get recommendations and even hide spoiler tracks for unfinished games.
Key Features:
- More than 100 of these locations are scattered around the world for players to find, and in some cases finding the Shrines can be a puzzle in itself. As a result, Shrines offer more compact challenges that can be solved in a variety of ways. In order to earn a Spirit Orb from the monks who designed these challenges, players must overcome challenges or solve puzzles.
- While exploring Shrines, players can earn Runes. For instance, the Magnesis Rune can help Link lift and toss metal objects. The Remote Bomb has two different types of bombs: rolling spherical ones and cubical ones that stay in place. The Stasis Rune briefly stops moving objects, while the Cryonis Rune freezes water and causes an ice pillar to appear.
- The game contains a wide variety of weapons, many new to the series. Players must find weapons or take them from enemies, but weapons wear out as you use them. Players can also time offensive and defensive maneuvers to temporarily slow time and connect with a flurry of strikes against their opponent.
- In another break with conventional gameplay for the series, players hoping to replenish their hearts or score some easy rupees will come up empty when they cut grass. Link can forage for a variety of foods in his environment, including apples and mushrooms. He can also hunt for food. Consuming uncooked foods gives him a modest health increase, but cooking different kinds of ingredients together will result in dishes with different effects, such as cold or heat resistance, for a limited amount of time.
- From snowy areas to desert heat, Link must dress appropriately for the weather. If he needs to stay warm, he can don appropriate clothing, warm himself with a fiery torch or even eat food to maintain his body temperature and his health. Link also needs to be careful during lightning storms – if he is equipped with metal equipment during a downpour, he can find himself attracting deadly lightning bolts.
- A new series of detailed amiibo figures specific to the game were announced this morning, and Treehouse staff finally revealed how the Wolf Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will connect to the game. When players tap a Wolf Link amiibo to the Wii U GamePad controller, Wolf Link will join Link to attack enemies on his own. He initially has three hearts, but players can raise his heart count by completing the Cave of Shadows and carrying over the save data from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Wolf Link can be summoned once a day, and disappears when his hearts run out. However, you can use Wolf Link again the next day.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
