Dark Moon is a survival strategy game where time is working against you. With the Moon’s electronics down it is up to you to traverse the lunar soil and try to make contact with Earth while managing your crew and resources. You will never know what you will encounter along your way, thus be prepared to make crucial decisions and live with the consequences. Whatever you do - don’t go into the light!
As a member of the Engineering Council sent by Moon Shell, your task was to oversee the construction of a newly developed mining system on the Moon. The simple objective changed dramatically when a massive solar storm hit the Earth, destroying all electronics in its wake. Soon after, you witness the Sun's scorching heat as the Moon's main communication relay falls into the light. You are alone, and now everything within the Sun's reach is gone within seconds. The light is your enemy and the darkness is your salvation.
Gather resources, upgrade your mobile base, make tough moral decisions, and keep moving forward. Remember, whatever you do - don’t go into the light!
Developer Jujubee and publisher 101XP announced that Dark Moon will launch on Steam on October 29!
Key Features:
Keep moving. The light coming from the Sun is deadly. Its rays incinerate everything in their path, and your only chance of survival is to stay in the dark. The massive Mechaplex rover, originally built for engineering tasks, becomes your mobile fortress. It will serve as your home, your shelter, and your only way to escape the relentless threat. Plan every move carefully—any stop could be your last.
Explore and gather resources. Every playthrough is a new challenge. Locations, events, encounters—anything can happen. Scout the area with drones and choose who joins your crew and who stays behind. Minerals found in lunar craters can help you survive—if you can extract them.
Manage your mobile base. The Mechaplex is your lifeline. Build modules, upgrade technologies, and adapt. Develop drones and mechanisms to speed up resource extraction and increase mobility. The key is to never stand still—staying in one place can mean death.
Make tough decisions. You’re not the only one seeking salvation. Other survivors may join you—skilled astronauts or desperate wanderers. Their abilities can help, but the bigger the crew, the harder it is to maintain. Will you show mercy, or put your own survival first?
Monitor your team morale. Every decision you make will test your team. Inviting someone from a hostile nation may stir resentment. Casting out a respected crew member may spark a mutiny. The Moon doesn’t forgive mistakes, but what’s worse—cosmic emptiness outside or chaos within?
Dark Moon is coming to PC (Steam) on October 29, 2025 at $9.99.
