'Cities: Skylines II' Bridges & Ports Expansion And New Radio Station Later This Month - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 9, 2025 @ 4:02 p.m. PDT

Cities: Skylines II is a modern take on city simulation genre in which players can build any city they can imagine, from a small village to a bustling metropolis.

In Cities: Skylines II, players build detailed cities at an epic scale. Intricate economic systems present players with choices that have ripple effects across the city. Dynamic maps set in various biomes present both challenges and opportunities for city builders. High-fidelity visuals showcase the beauty of cities like never before, from a humble city block to an iconic city skyline. For the first time ever, each citizen has their own individual life, including occupation, household, relationships and more, making cities feel alive. Players can now follow how their choices affect citizens' lives, adding weight and immediate impact to every strategic decision.

Players start by picking a map, with each environment presenting its own challenges, climate, and opportunities. From there, players manage a series of interconnected simulation systems as they build and grow their city. Build roads, lay out districts, set up infrastructure, and manage citizens' needs as the population grows from a small town to a sweeping metropolis.

Paradox Interactive announced that Bridges & Ports, a major expansion for Cities: Skylines II, will be released on October 29, 2025.

The expansion focuses on managing, expanding, and improving city shorelines with a new selection of drawbridges and lift bridges, customizable harbors, ferries, and new maritime industries, with a massive catalog of new assets, new maps, and more. Bridges & Ports will be available on PC for a suggested retail price of $19.99/£16.99/€19.99, or as part of the Bridges & Ports Bundle, which also includes the new Cold Wave Channel Radio Station, for a suggested retail price of $22.49/£18.89/€22.49.

Players who own the Cities: Skylines II Ultimate Edition, or the Waterfronts Expansion Pass will receive both Bridges & Ports and Cold Wave Channel at no additional cost when each DLC is released later this month.

In Bridges & Ports, players of Cities: Skylines II will connect their cities with the sea like never before. New bridges, customizable and expandable port options, shoreline leisure attractions, maritime industries, and a flood of new assets are all included in this expansion.

Features of Bridges & Ports include:

  • 20 new drawbridges and lift bridges: Movable road structures can now allow ships through city waterways without the need for towering bridges. Multiple sizes and styles allow players to prioritize vehicles, pedestrians, or rail traffic, and add a new facet of management to city traffic.
  • Customizable ports: Three different sizes of harbor gates give players a range of options to scale up for more traffic. Available also are expansions and upgrades that boost the port’s efficiency, safety, and security. New storage facilities and ore yards, passenger terminals, a customs office, and an emergency response unit help fill out local services, while options like maritime museums and conference centers attract tourism.
  • Expanded maritime industries: Bring new business on shore with fishing operations, from fishing piers to inland fish farms, or harvest the bounty of the seas with offshore oil rigs, pipelines, and tankers.
  • An ocean of new content: Over 100 new assets, plus new achievements, and never-before-seen maps, including a peninsula, a bay, and vast great lakes.
In addition, the Cold Wave Channel Radio Station will be also available on October 29, where atmospheric melodies create a distinct, minimalist soundscape. This radio gives you a unique blend of icy beats and enigmatic vibes, serving as a sleek backdrop that stimulates creativity and focus. Cold Wave Channel will be available as part of the Bridges & Ports Bundle or the Cities: Skylines II Ultimate Edition or the Waterfronts Expansion Pass, or separately for a suggested retail price of $4.99/£4.49/€4.99.

Key Features:

  • Deep Simulation: Make choices that have ripple effects across the city. Intricate AI and economic systems mean players will need to strategize, problem solve and react to changes, challenges and opportunities.
  • Epic Scale, Endless Possibilities: Build a thriving metropolis without compromise. In Cities: Skylines II, players will be able to build sky-high and across the map to realize their dream city like never before.
  • Cities That Come Alive: Follow the lives of individual citizens, from love and loss to wealth and well-being. Player decisions will shape the lives of their city's citizens.
  • A Dynamic World: Pick a map to set the climate and biome of the city. These natural forces will shape the growth of players' cities as they contend with rising pollution, changeable weather and seasonal challenges.

Players will learn more about the intricate systems involved in managing their sprawling metropolis over the coming weeks via a series of deep dive videos from Colossal Order.

Currently available for PC, Cities: Skylines II is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
