This game is the newest addition to the Super Robot Wars series which started more than 30 years ago,featuring immersive strategic game play and is a return for the legendary series to the West in a English localized installment

In the looming calamity of inevitable ruin, Super Robot Wars Y challenges the guardians of steel to rise and conquer fate. The lauded series combines an all-star mecha cast, action-packed attack animations, and an upgrade system to customize various units and pilots. The game also features a deep and engaging original story that weaves together universes from a variety of mecha anime. In a battle to determine the world’s future, players strategically command an army on a grid-based battlefield, utilizing their arsenal of weapons and abilities to defeat the opposing army. 

Following the success of Super Robot Wars 30, this sequel brings together iconic mecha characters and units from beloved series and will let you enjoy fan-favourite units from past games, as well brand-new ones to the franchise, including some appearing on console for the very first time.

Super Robot Wars Y will get its first DLC on November 21, 2025.

DLC 1: Contract from the Darkness will include new playable units and characters from “GALAXY CYCLONE BRAIGER”, “THE BIG O”, and “FUUTO PI: The Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull” as well as new area missions.

Those who have purchased the Collector’s Edition, Digital Ultimate Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, or DLC Pack 1 & 2 set will gain early access to DLC 1 starting November 19, 2025.

Super Robot Wars Y will also get a free update for all players on Nov. 17 that includes new Special Mission: "Battle Rush," new EX Level Pilot Skills, DLC 1 Mission 1 "A Smile on the Street Corner" and additional improvements.
