Wildgate combines action-packed emergent gameplay with explosive spaceship combat for a galactically fresh take on the multiplayer genre.

Evade deadly environmental hazards, search for powerful weapons and ship upgrades, and be the first crew to escape with the Artifact... or the last crew left flying.

In Wildgate, players (called “Prospectors”) team up in small crews to venture into a hostile, unpredictable, and mysterious region of space in search of an ancient relic known as the Artifact. While in pursuit of the Artifact, players work together to pilot their spacecraft, plunder wreckage, and discover forgotten loot. To win, crews must successfully reach the exit point with the Artifact or go for a domination victory by destroying all rival ships by whatever means necessary.

Dreamhaven and Moonshot Games announced that Wildgate: Emergence, the first major content update for the spacefaring crew-based first-person shooter, is launching on November 19, 2025. 

Wildgate’s most robust update yet, Emergence introduces highly requested new game modes, Treasure Hunt and Fleet Battle, Psionic prospector Charlie, the Outlaw, a solo or two-person crew ship, the ability to create custom game lobbies, and much more.

Emergence key features include:

• Treasure Hunt Game Mode: Enter the Reach, salvage valuable treasure, and escape without getting blown up! In this slightly more relaxed looting expedition across the Reach, fight AI ships, complete quests, gather treasure, and extract whenever you choose to turn your haul into rewards.

• Fleet Battle Game Mode: Engage in point-based 3v3 ship battles where you win by gaining points through blasting other players and respawning ships, or securing multiple Artifacts. Jump straight into the action, battle for control of Artifacts, respawn, and keep the fight going.

• Psionic Prospector, Charlie: Psionic being Charlie joins the Wildgate roster in Emergence. Charlie can instantly revive allies without channeling, teleport to allies within 150 meters, and is healed by cosmic storms, radiation, fire, and shock fields.

• Outlaw Solo or Two-Person Crew Ship: Jump into the pilot’s seat of the Outlaw, a ship that can be played solo or with two people, that is resistant to boarding and specializes in speed.

• Custom Game Lobbies: A long-requested feature since launch, Custom Lobbies allow you to host your own Wildgate matches. When playing in Artifact Brawl mode, you can create a lobby, set a few basic options, and invite friends (or rivals)! 

Players can also look forward to navigating a perilous new region of the Reach, exploring alien anomalies, using the new Resonator weapon, and equipping the Medic Drone when Emergence launches on November 19. 

Those who have yet to explore all that the Reach has to offer can play Wildgate, including the Emergence update, during the Steam Free Weekend (unlimited level access), Xbox Free Play Days for Xbox Game Pass members (unlimited level access), or PS5 free trial (limited to prospector level five) starting November 20, 2025.

• Outgun or Outrun: The Artifact is the most valuable object in the known universe. Be the first to find it, snatch it, and pass through the exit point, or destroy the ships of every other crew and be the last crew standing.
